They arrived at the kingdom around sunset and they entered really easily. Cleona already prepared a meal for them. She already treated Amaris and is now in a state of recovering. Everyone ate their meal and was permitted to do their own things but Zarina walked out into the kingdom's balcony to stare at the rising moon and stars.

"Mind if I join you?" Farkas asked as he stood by Zarina. "Oh! King Farkas, please, feel free to join me." Zarina smiled. "Enough with the formalities. Call me Farkas." He smiled and Zarina nodded.

"Is there something you needed to talk about? I can't help but notice that you look so bothered and troubled." Zarina asked. "I am. You see, I want to run away from being a king because I just don't know how and I can't do it any longer." Farkas stated. "Why did you agree to be a king, then?" Zarina asked. "I'm the who is chosen to rule because I was one of your father's trusted warriors. The king was looking so much in the future that he already made a last will after he died: make me the new king." Farkas sighed.

"I see... However, why don't you want to rule? You've been standing as their king for longer than I know and the kingdom is still standing strong! You have the potential of a ruler, Farkas." Zarina said.

"Love." Farkas stared at the stars. "Pardon?" Zarina asked, confused. "Before I stood as king, I was there at the mortal world. I had my job and I had my own apartment. I was in the park when I ran into this girl. We took time, knowing each other. She's incredible. It wasn't long when we developed feelings for each other. We planned to go away and have a great time together in another country and live there at peace but that's when your father died. I have to stand and rule." Farkas explained.

Zarina felt bad. "Where is she now?" She asked. "She's still there, waiting for me. I told her that she can leave me and find someone else who will take care of her but she insisted on waiting. Now that you're here, you will finally rule over the kingdom, right?" Farkas asked.

"No. Farkas, no. At least, not yet." Zarina said. The king fell silent and sad. "You see, I... I am still new here. I know nothing of the life here. Yes, the people of this kingdom might accept me so easily because they know what I am but being a ruler is a great responsibility and... I have to process things first and take it slow." Zarina sighed.

"Right. What am I thinking, rushing you to be a ruler of a kingdom you never stepped into until now? My lover can wait there." Farkas let out a forced laugh. "Look, I really want you to get back there on the mortal world with her as soon as possible but not now. I really appreciate that you told me what's going on with you. Now that I know that, i'm going to try my best to bring the leader out of me. That way, I can take over the ruling as quickly as possible and you will finally be able to live a life with your lover." Zarina smiled.

"Thank you, Zarina." Farkas smiled. "Don't thank me yet." Zarina tapped Farkas' shoulder.

Zarina looked down from the balcony. Matrius and Akila can be seen sparring. Akila wobbly fights with a sword. Zarina lets out a soft laugh. "You like him? A human?" Farkas asked. Zarina turned to Farkas, shocked to know that he knows what Akila is. "I saw and learned how much he cares for you. That guy was ready to beat the crap out of Delaneia when she was circling you lately. Glad to have Matrius there with me because if not, that lover of yours might've caused chaos back there." Farkas chuckled. Zarina kept her silence, looking at Akila.

She thought that she want to take things slow. Not rush with everything. Besides, she just met him.

"Are we allowed to have partners as we rule? Especially, a human?" Zarina asked. Farkas shook his head. "If it was possible, I swear my lover would be here already, ruling with me. However, keep in mind, as what the Lycans are saying, no human passed by our entryway who lived and was unharmed. Somehow, through the necklace's power, Akila survived." Farkas smiled as he looked at the sparring going on.
