Matrius entered the entryway of the Ailurans, shocked to see that there are still Ailuran warriors waiting by the entryway.

"Wait, what's going on? What are you doing here?" Matrius asked. Faelyn and Myndill, most trusted warriors and friends of king Farkas, approached him. "We should ask you that. What are you doing here? I thought you are going to arrive here after the one favored by the heavens." Myndill said. "No... Something's wrong. Faelyn, command the warriors to go back to their assigned places." Matrius said. Faelyn did and the warriors went to their own places.

"The king wont be pleased." Faelyn said as the three of them walked back towards the throne room. "I know. This isn't the plan. Wait, did Merlara arrive?" Matrius asked. "No. She didn't." Myndill shook her head. "That's another red flag. Seriously, something is off. Let's hurry to the king. Shift!" Matrius said. The three of them shifted and rushed to the throne room where the king is.

As they arrive, they shifted back to their human forms. They saw the king talking to Cleona. "Matrius! Thank the heavens, you're finally here! Spare me the formalities. Where is Maia's daughter?" Farkas asked. "Farkas, something went wrong on the plan." Myndill said. "Indeed. Merlara didn't arrive and so as Zarina." Matrius sighed. "One thing, though." Faelyn said, making Farkas and the others turn to her.

"Remember that there are two entryways in the forest? I'm thinking that the problem on the plan occurred on the entryway." She said. "What are you implying? Are you talking about the actual entryway?" Myndill asked and Faelyn shook her head.

"I'm saying that Merlara failed to terminate the Lycans who can possibly stop Zarina from entering our entryway." Faelyn said. "Meaning, Zarina must've seen the Lycan warriors waiting for her by the entryway. It's possible that she turned the other direction." Faelyn added, looking far away. "And... Merlara is caught by the Lycans?" Matrius wondered.

"That is merely my idea of what possibly happened back there. I'm not certain if it is what actually happened." Faelyn said.

"Let me in!! King Farkas! Let me speak with you, please!!" Someone shouted on the other side of the throne room's door. "Open the doors!" Farkas commanded and the warriors by the door opened it, revealing the one who is calling out. "Lexer? He's the rebel Lycan." Myndill said.

"We should let him in, Farkas. I... trust him." Matrius said. "What?! Are you crazy?!" Faelyn said. "Why is it that you trust him?" Farkas asked Matrius. "Zarina is his friend, apparently. Zarina mentioned to us that Lexer is Amaris' friend and Amaris is Zarina's best friend who is currently locked on the Lycan territory's dungeon. Zarina can help him that's why I think he's not letting her disappear." Matrius explained.

"It's about Zarina! Please, let me in!" Lexer shouted, struggling from the hands of the Ailuran warriors by the door. "Let him in!" Farkas said and Lexer ran towards the king and knelt by his feet.

"Sir! Ah, I mean, your majesty! Zarina is on the Lycan territory!" Lexer reported. The Ailurans exchanged looks. "Tell us, how do you say so?" Matrius asked.

Lexer filled them with the information he knows, saying that he saw Zarina running towards the wrong entryway and he saw her crossed it.

"What?! That's suicide! She could die!" Farkas said. "Is she... dead?" Myndill asked, trembling. "No! Zarina is stronger than that!" Lexer and Matrius said in unison. "Let's have hope, everyone." Farkas said. "Please, I propose that you send a spy to help me search for her. I need someone to come with me and if you will, king Farkas, please, allow me to bring an ally of yours with me. Anyone is possible. I just need help because I can't do this on my own. I promise, I'll keep him or her safe." Lexer begged.

The king nodded. "Matrius, go with him. Do what he tells you to do." Farkas commanded and Matrius followed.

"Thank you! Oh, thank you!! Zarina is my bridge to her friend and she's my friend too. I have to save them, even if it means helping you out, king Farkas. I will never forget this." Lexer continuously bowed to the king and Farkas smiled and waved to them, telling them that they can go now.
