Chase lay in his bed staring up at the white ceiling. He couldn't stop thinking about the new neighbor. Chase couldn't stand himself for not being able to figure it out. The sight of her wasn't familiar, but her presence. Her presence. It was if it spoke to him. The frustration was getting to him. He ditched George and Chloe, so he could find some time to figure out himself.

Blood boiling, he went to his bathroom to wash his face. He realized he had just been laying on his bed for an hour with the lights off in the dark. As he splashed his face, he noticed he had on everything he had when he got home. That night Chase slept without dinner.

Hector curious to see why he didn't come down for dinner went up to get him. As he opened his door, Hector let out a sigh and walked out closing the door behind him. Chase was out on the bed. There was no interrupting the deep sleep he already got himself into.

The next morning was faster. Chase had his alarm clock ready. Well, Hector had the alarm clock ready. Hector also pulled together a lunch for Chase. Chase ran out the door to get to the bus. He waved goodbye and thanked Hector for it all.

Chase was extremely happy he had an overprotective grandpa, and sometimes he didn't. Today, he was happy though. As he hopped into the bus, he found Chloe there and went to sit next to her. When he got near, he saw she was in a deep train of thought. George was there too, but he was also in a clear state of mind.

Chase decided to sit there and hopefully not break their train of thought. He got there and when he sat down; he too found himself in a thoughtful moment. They set for a while, until George looked up and asked, "Hey Chase?"

"Yeah." he replied looking up from the floor.

"Have you been getting weird feelings?"

"Well what do you mean? Do you mean a feeling of absence, like where the atmosphere is odd, or maybe," he was cut off by Chloe saying, "That one."

"You mean it's not just me?"

Both, George and Chloe looked towards him at that. Chloe spoke up saying, "Me and George just had a conversation on it before you got here. We don't know, but it feels like we have never been here. That is impossible though, right."

"Of course, there aren't any other explanations for such a weird thing to happen."

"True. I vote we just ignore it completely, and address it over spring break," added George.

"It probably is stupid in the long run, but whatever," mocked Chloe, "Do you agree Mr. Sly?"

"I can never tell if you're being serious or not, but yeah, I'll go along with your little plan George."

---------------------------------------------

At school, the three went on as if there talk on the bus never existed. They were better that way anyways, because the last thing they needed on their mind was weird presences. Mainly, because it turns out that Chase did have homework. When Chase got their late, it turns out Mr. N had a homework assignment already planned and due the next day. Chase didn't know.

They were waiting in science class for Mr. N, and periodically, Chase would pop his head up to check if he was back. Luckily, for Chase he was in the office making copies of something.

Mr. N came in and started picking up papers. Once again, luck struck and Chase was the last one to have his paper picked up. As he came to pick up his paper, Chase managed to finish it. "A normal day in my life," thought Chase.

Mr. N went back up to the front and started talking of their next chapter in human biology. "We shall start with the basic human systems," he said. "Now does anyone want to mention any of the eleven human organ systems."
