𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲
I STOOD BESIDE JASPER as I held Elizabeth in my arms. Bella walked into the room, ready to see her daughter.
Rose passes Renesmee over with a huge smile. Jake steps forward in a protective way as she takes her.
"What was that?" Bella asks as Renesmee lowers her hand from Bella's cheek. "She showed you the first memory she has of you" Edward explains.
"Showed me, how?" Bella asks. "How do I hear thoughts, how does Alice see the future?" He says.
"She's gifted" Edward tells her. "I've only been out for two days?" Bella asks. "her birth rate in unpredictable, just the same as Lizzie" Carlisle says looking over to me and Jasper as we stand with our daughter.
"All right. That's enough experimenting for one day" Jacob says going to reach for Renesmee. "Jacob, she's doing great" I say annoyed.
"Yeah. Let's not push it though." he argues. "What's your problem?" Bella asks confused. "Oh. Do tell her, Jacob" Rose taunts causing me to stifle a laugh.
Elizabeth looks up at me, trying not to laugh and starts to giggle. "Hold on a second" Edward takes Renesmee from Bella to keep her safe.
"Look, it's a wolf thing. It doesn't mean what you think Bella. I promise." Jake says trying to defend himself. "Rose take Renesmee out of the room, Lizzie too" Bella says.
Rose takes them both as we all watch the argument unravel. "You imprinted on my daughter!" Bella yells. "It wasn't my choice." Jake argues.
"she's a baby!" Bella yells more. "It's not like that. You think Edward would let me live if it was" he says pointing to the vampire as he leans against the house.
"I'm still debating it." he mutters. "I've held her once, one time Jacob! And already you think you have some moronic wolfy claim on her, she's mine!" Bella yells and hits Jacob.
Jacob grunts as he stands. "you're gonna stay away from her!" Bella yells. "You know I can't do that" Jake admits. Bella sends Jacob flying as she hits him.
"Aren't you going to stop her Edward?" Esme asks concerned. "No, not yet. Isn't she amazing?" he says smiling at his wife.
I lean into Jasper as he throws his arm over my shoulders. "This is incredible" I laugh as I watch Jake get thrown into a tree. "You're horrible" Jasper jokes. "And yet you agree with me" I say causing him to nod and laugh.
"Do you remember how much you wanted me around three days ago? That's gone now?" he asks. "Long gone" Bella yells.
"Because it was her. From the beginning it was Nessie who wanted me there" he says using the nickname he came up with. "dumb move" I whisper.
