𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹
I STOOD IN THE parking lot, next to Bella as she read. I had my own book but I was bored. Suddenly a twister was launched our way, it landed in my bag. We turned our heads to see Tyler, Jess and Angela beckoning us over. Bella declined almost immediately but I went over there anyway.
"Hey Nova, how come Bella didn't want to come over" Angela asks. "She's halfway through her book so I think she's trying to finish it" I shrug. They all nod and turn to face the two cars that had just pulled in.
Emmett jumps out from the top of the jeep, as Rosalie gets out of the red car. Then Alice and Sam get out. Sam waves at me to which I give her a small wave and a smile back. Then Jasper gets out. His eyes meet mine for a second before I turn away to look at Jess.
"I can't believe Sam Cullen just waved at you" She gawps. I fake excitement "Oh my god" Someone waved at me!" I say in an annoyingly high pitched voice. Mike and Tyler laugh as Jess looks annoyed. I look back at the school entrance just as Jasper turns around, I watch him turn back and walk inside.

Today was the first time I would have History. I walk inside and the teacher seats me next to Angela who's behind Jasper. I take my seat and the teacher passes around a short test which you get a Chocolate bar for if you win. I didn't want the chocolate but I was going to try my best anyway.
"How is it the second day and I don't have a pen" I groan to Angela. Suddenly Jasper puts a pen in front of me. "Thanks" I say. He nods and continues writing. As soon as the pen touches my paper Angela speaks up.
"I can't believe Japer Hale just gave you a pen!" she squeals. "God what is it with you people" I mutter and finish the test. "It would make no difference if you gave me a pen Angela" I say.
The teacher finally collects the papers and marks them. "Okay winning the chocolate or should I say chocolates are Jasper Hale and Elenova Swan, with a perfect 100% each" he says. He gives us both a chocolate bar and I immediately give mine to Angela "You can have mine, I don't like chocolate" I say.
"You're so weird, who doesn't like chocolate" she says. "I guess it's just me then" I shrug. I put my hand out in front of me, holding the pen and I give it to Jasper "Thanks again" I say as he takes it. "It's no problem ma'am" he says his southern accent showing.
I blush slightly as I pack up my bag. I follow Angela out the classroom as she giggles like a child.

The next morning, once ready for school I head to the front of the house. As I open the front door I see Bella fall on her ass. I burst out laughing as my dad helps her up. "I'll probably be late for dinner, Security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal" he tells us.
"An animal?" Bella asks. "You're not in Phoenix anymore, girls" he says as he opens his car door. "Anyway I figured I'd lend a hand" He says. "Be careful Dad" I say worried. "Always am" he reassures.
We get in the car and Bella starts the engine. I notice she looks distracted, more distracted than usual. "Penny for your thoughts" I say. She glances at me briefly before looking back at the road. "What makes you think I have something on mind?" she asks.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe because I know you better than you know yourself" I say. She rolls her eyes "You know the Cullens?" she asks. I nod, my mind instantly going to the blonde boy. "Yeah, kinda" I say.
Then she tells me what happened in biology and how Edward left right when she was going to confront him. "Oh ok. I'm sure it wasn't you, maybe he was having bad allergies and he was trying to stop his nose from running?" I suggest.
"You'd tell me if I smell bad, wouldn't you?" She asks worried. "Trust me Bella you smell fine" I reassure her. She sceptically nods her head and pulls into the parking lot. "Let hell begin" I mutter as I step out of the car.

My first lesson was History, Angela was sick so I would be alone. As soon as I walk in I feel that pull towards Jasper, per usual. Mr Daven, the teacher comes up to me "Hey Ms Swan, I know Angela's not in today so can you sit with Mr Hale" he says. I give him a quick nod and walk towards Jasper.
I take my seat next to him and he turns to me. "Hi. I didn't get to introduce myself yesterday, I'm Jasper. You're Elenova right?" he smiles. I give him a small smile back and nod "It's just Nova" I say. He nods and takes a sheet from the teacher.
"I'll let you have the first question" he offers. "Ok, when did the Civil War take place" I read it out. I instantly write down 1861 - 1865. I pass the paper back over to Jasper and he smiles as he reads the answer "You sure know a lot about history" he takes note.
"Yeah, it was my favourite subject in my last school, what about you?" I ask weirdly wanting to know more about him. "Yeah, it always has been my favourite subject" he says as he finishes the last question. Between talking we had completed all the questions.
"Hey do you mind if I walk you to your next class?" He asks. I nod and walk by his side as we walk towards the gym. "So, how come you moved to Forks?" he asks. "Well my mom and step-dad wanted to travel a lot, and me and my sister, Bella, figured it would be easier if we can to live in Forks with our dad." I tell him.
"And what do you think of Forks? Is it everything you thought it would be?" he asks smiling. "Oh yeah, and so much more" I joke as we stop outside the gym. "Thank you for walking me" I smile at him. "It was my pleasure Nova" he smiles back.
I give him one last smile before I walk into the hall.

The bell signalling that it was the end of the day finally rings. I get changed and walk to the parking lot. I walk down the steps and head towards Bella. I look to my left to see Jasper standing with his family.
Suddenly Tyler van skids on the ice and he heads straight towards Bella. I run towards Bella to help her, but before I get there an arm slides around the front of my stomach holding me back. I watch as Edward manages to stop the van and make sure that Bella is okay.
I look up to see that it's Jasper who's holding onto me. He gives me a curious look before leaving. I quickly rush to Bella and help her up. Everyone comes and crowds around us yelling about calling 911.
"Give her some space!" I yell as we wait for an ambulance.
