I'll Wait For You

Third Person

    Ladybug ended up telling Chat Noir about everything. Who Chat Blanc was, how he knew her identity, how 'their love' had destroyed the whole world. Chat sat and listened, holding her hand and wiping her tears as she explained everything.

       Chat Noir couldn't help but smile. His heart hurt for Ladybug, it hurt unbelievably knowing that she had to go through all of that alone. But it also made him want to jump for joy that in some universe, Ladybug did love him back.

     "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you Chat Noir. I thought it was over with. I thought I dealt with it. I'm so sorry for hurting you." She said in shame. Chat let out a sigh and stood up, giving her a hand up. She sniffled and took his hand.

      "You have nothing to apologize for. I understand why you didn't tell me." He held her hands as she stood up. Her eyes avoided his.

        "But listen, that cat isn't me. I'm right here," He placed her hand over his heart. His beating, warm heart. She looked up at him in disbelief. 

     "And if I did hurt you like that, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I promise you that." He held her hand to his chest, his words softly reaching her sensitive ears. Ladybug's lip quivered as her bluebell eyes finally met with his emerald green ones. The comforting gaze made her tears slide off her cheeks.

      "I promise that I'll never let our love destroy the world. I'll wait for you as long as it takes. Even if that means we have to defeat Hawkmoth first. Even if that means my heart gets broken every day. Even if that means it never happens." 

       Ladybug's cheeks turned red. She wasn't sure why, but her stomach twisted and her heart skipped a beat. She had always admired Chat's goofiness, but his vulnerability was something she would never forget.

         Suddenly Ladybug smashed into Chat Noir, wrapping her arms around his neck and digging her face into his shoulder. The warm wood and leather scent filled her mind. Chat didn't hesitate to hold her tightly, fitting like a puzzle piece.

        "I'll wait too." Ladybug whispered to herself once again, enjoying being in the arms of her kitty, and finally letting go of Chat Blanc.
