Marinette
I sat on the bridge, my eyes burning and my cheeks puffy from crying just a little while ago. I played with my thumbs while I waited anxiously for Chat. If I'm being honest I had no idea what to tell him. How do you tell your partner that the enemy you just kissed was actually him akumatized from a different time.
Once I left the scene, I went home and balled my eyes out in my pillow. My parents came to check on me and tell me all about the crazy akuma attack, but I told them I was still feeling sick. Tikki helped me collect myself enough to get out of bed.
Finally I heard something drop down behind me on the bridge. I didn't turn my head. I didn't need to. Chat Noir sat beside me silently.
Neither of us talked. We didn't know what to say. Instead we just watched the rising sun.
"Ladybug?" Chat finally said softly. I turned my head to him.
"I guess you're looking for some answers huh." I said with a sad smile. Chat smiled back at me. I took a deep breath, my voice feeling shaky. Chat grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
Usually my first instinct is to move it, or tell him to stop. But instead I let him hold my hand. It gave me the strength I needed to get this off my chest.
And so I told him everything. Everything including what Chat Blanc said to me, how he knew my identity, and even the bodies in the water. His thumb stroked my hand gently as he listened patiently. By the time I finished the story, tears spilled down my cheeks once again. Chat's ears lay flat as he processed the story.
I bet he was having a hard time believing me.
But when he looked back up, he had the most comforting smile on his face that reassured me everything would be okay.
