Stars in the night

The rest of the day went by really fast with me just helping in the kitchen for fun to learn how to properly cook in this time and the men talking about business. Every now and then I'll look to see Abe watching me with a stupid smile on his face before looking away just as quick. I thought it was cute, but I was more scared his father or someone else would notice.

'This man is gonna get him and me into a lot of trouble. If his dad or wife don't beat his ass I think other people might before I can'

Finishing up the food the maid nods to me to get ready so I clean up real quick and join the men at the table.

"Now Miss Stephanie you didn't have to help cook." Richard gave me a smile with light stern look.

"Thank you sir, but I do enjoy cooking a nice big meal. We both worked hard on it so I hope you gentleman enjoy."

Smiling at all three of them Jonathan smiles wider and claps his hands.

"It's perfect. Ah! I almost forgot, tomorrow Richard and I plan to take you to a meeting to introduce yourself to some friends of mine. I hope you won't mind the visit tomorrow since it will be an all day event."

Looking at him shocked for a moment I looked to Richard who smiled calmly at me.

"Rest assured Miss Stephanie neither Jonathan nor I will allow anything inappropriate aspect to take place."

"We all will make sure of that father."

We all turned to Abraham who looked at his father expectedly while I lightly smiled at him.

"Actually Abraham I have a job for you tomorrow while we are gone. I need you to deliver paper work to a residence for me."

"Why haven't I been told of this until now?"

"I figured it would be a small task for you to accomplish while we went to the meeting."

Nodding his head Abraham dropped the subject as the two other went to talk business. Not really caring the only thing I could think of was I was basically gonna be surrounded by men tomorrow who would basically want to marry me or even just fuck me.

'GREAT'

Not paying attention I didn't feel the tension in the room until I looked up after taking a bite of chicken to see Abe looking at his father upset.

"I think that's enough business for one night. Why don't we take what's left of your Picolit and adjourn to your splendid balcony?"

"A splendid suggestion."

They both got up grabbing their drinks and roast heading towards the back door. Leaving me and Abe at the table and if I'm correct Abe just realized everything Anna has will be sold from her.

'I don't really know what to say to him, but he looks pissed right now.'

"Abraham, are you okay?"

He looked at me before nodding and getting up to leave. Following quickly we grabbed our coats and left the house. The way to the Inn was short and sweet, but once inside is when he went off.

"How could he do this to her?! What has she ever done to deserve all of this?!"

Sitting on the bed I watched him pace the room back and forth non stop.

"I mean he could have at least talked to me about this to see if I can do anything to help! Why doesn't he ever listen to me."

"Maybe he didn't come to you because he knows you used to love Anna?"
