I started to gain consciousness and realized I was no longer on the ground but a (soft?) bed. Everything hurt, from my legs to my head and so on. It felt like a thousand needle puncturing my skin all at once. It was making my entire body numb thus it felt like I could not move. I thought period pains were horrible this takes the cake what the hell. After what felt like hours but was probably only a couple minutes, I could start to hear noises all around me. It sounded like people talking but more yelling than anything. I slowly started to open my eyes to get a good look at whoever was making that much noise right next to me.
"Be silent, she is awaking. Ma'am, how are you feeling? Do you remember what happened?"
My eyes were still trying to adjust to the scenery around me. I realized I was in a simple single bed inside what looked like a log cabin surrounded by two people. One was a woman looked to be around my age. She had dirty blond hair, blue eyes, a defined jawline, petite nose, but slightly big ears. She was looking at me with the same concerned eyes a mother would if her child were trying to pet a wild bear. She was the closest to me and was holding a cold rag to my forehead and checking my cheeks with the back of her hand.
The second and last person in the room was a man that looked to be slightly older than I was. He has brown hair that was long and pulled into a ponytail. What is with men and men buns they are so strange I will never understand this hair style. I will not lie though he was quite handsome with a strong jawline as well, nice chin, calculating brown eyes and he was a little skinny, but you could tell he held muscles under his clothing. Speaking of which that was the next thing you noticed was the odd clothes that both were wearing. They both looked like that just came out of a 1700's reenactment and hairstyles to match as well.
"Ma'am, do you remember what happened?"
"huh. Um, yeah, I was walking down the sidewalk to the store when it felt like my whole body was on fire. I mean the store was right there and there was no one else around, that I saw, but other than that I don't remember much."
They both just stared at me like what I just said was the craziest and most idiotic thing anyone has ever said.
"Oh dear, do you think she hit her head too hard and doesn't remember where she is?" She asked the man at the door.
"Perhaps. Mary, you said that after the spark hit the ground you saw her just standing there and then she fell to the ground."
"Well, yes but, Abraham, its not like she just appeared out of no were. That's not plausible."
"Hold on, I am right here! Where am I? Why does it look like we are surrounded by woods when I wasn't anywhere near woods?" I looked at both of them for answers as I didn't know what was going on.
"Well hun, we were just about to settle down for rest, when the storm struck, and a spark struck over by my husbands crops making the ground shake. It was quite startling at first, but what was more concerning was that you just appeared out of thin air in that exact spot."
That did not make any sense at all. Yes, there was a storm hitting my area as well, but there was no sign that it had started. I heard a baby start to cry from what sounded like above me. Ok, so there was an upstairs to this place, alright. The women quickly got up and excused herself.
"I apologize. I will return as soon as I am done checking on him."
She exited the room and hastily went around the corner to which I heard her footsteps ascend the stairs. Then it was just this man Abraham and I in this room. We both locked eyes to which he quickly looked away with.......a blush on his face? The hell. I am not the best with talking to other people so I moved my eyesight out the window. I saw that it was indeed still dark outside and that there were trees but also a little crop field outside the house. I started to then look around the room taking in the small amount of décor around this one room I was in. There was a chest at the foot of the bed that had a blanket on it. There was a rack that had a red outfit resting on it. It looked a lot like a British uniform from the 1700's. I quickly looked at the man who very strangely was still staring right at me the whole time. Ok a little creepy.
