The Chief had been sprinting towards Jack's signal for a few seconds now, he could hear the plasma blasts from here
Running over the hill, he sees the Pelican being chased by 3 Banshees while being shot at by the ground forces
Cortana : that is one sturdy Pelican
He nods his head, getting back to business he runs towards the anti-air gun and rips the grunt off the seat, quickly aiming it at the other Covenant forces
Hear the cries of pain from their brethren, their attention soon shifted to the Chief
Grunt : I-IT'S THE DEMON!
Elite : finally! A worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!
That elite was the first one to get gunned down by Chief
Two of the Banshees disengaged the Pelican and went after the bigger threat
Using this to her advantage, Jack turned the entire plane around and gunned down the Banshee chasing her
Chief had already shot down the other Banshees so he focused on the ground targets, however he had to jump off as a plasma grenade stuck to the front of the turret
A group of suicidal grenade grunts tried to rush Chief, he just shot them in the face with a magnum
Jack gently lands the Pelican and opens the back door
Jack : i'm alive! And unscaved!
Cortana : good to know, i'm going to assume that the Pelican came from the bag?
Jack : yea sure
Jack proceeded to stretch a bit, hearing a satisfying 'pop' she stopped
Jack : so yea, i saw this neat looking Forerunner tower over there
Cortana : hmmm, perhaps we could use a terminal there to try send out a signal for rescue?
They both agreed with that plan
Right as Chief was about to get in the Pelican, Jack put it away
Cortana : why did you put it away? We could use it to get there faster
Jack : grabs too much attention, we'll use these instead
She then summoned two Wasps

Jack : then just don't get hit, simple
Chief shrugged his shoulders but hopped in his own Wasp anyways, Cortana just went with the flow really
Flying through the air, Cortana began to ask Jack some questions
Cortana : so how many vehicles do you have anyway?
