"I told you not to teach her anything, Stan" Mitch said as he was standing in the training room with Hurley and Thea who was waiting for them to finish talking on the other side of the room.
"She likes it" The older man replied, trying to ease the tension.
"That's not the point" He exclaimed. "I told you not to do that"
"It doesn't harm anyone to learn" Stan said which earned him a glare.
"You're putting her in danger"
"What danger, Mitch? She's only learning to defend herself. She's not in danger, it's quite the opposite actually. She will know how to protect herself." The man explained but Mitch was too fixated on his idea to hear.
"If you train her she'll take a liking to it and then next thing you know she wants to be like me" Mitch grunted at the thought of his daughter doing the same job as him.
"You're overreacting here" Stan said, sighing. "She's five years old-"
"Yes, she's only five years old" Mitch cut him off. "She's way too young for anything like this. It's violent, Stan and she's a child."
"Look at her" He said, turning the attention to the little girl who was now doing the easy moves of self defense Stan had taught her a few minutes ago with a wide smile on her face. "She's already good at it and she likes it."
Mitch stared at his little girl, training and laughing as she did so when she did a move correctly. He couldn't help but be over-protective of her after everything that had happened. He just couldn't help it but who was he to take away what she seemed to like way too much right now? He couldn't do that. Thea's happiness was more important.
"All right" He muttered to the man who smiled and patted his back. Mitch walked to his daughter and crouched down in front of her. "Want to have a tea party with me and Stan, sweetheart?" He asked, smirking when he heard the other man groan when he heard Mitch say that and even more when the girl shouted a loud yes and clapped her hands excitedly. "Good. Let's go, soldier." He said and chuckled when she laughed happily at the nickname.
"I hate you" He heard Hurley mutter under his breath as they passed by and Mitch winked before gesturing to him to follow and left the training room.

~ WICKED's POV ~
Every single person in the building was curently stitting in rows of scientists in front of a huge screen. The crowd was abnormally motionless and they all had blank faces as their gazes were focused forward and locked on what would be one of the most important moment for them.
For WICKED.
The screen was showing images of the situation in the maze. They were silently watching the teenagers becoming aware of what was happening around them. They observed how the panic rised and flooded their systems in a matter of seconds as they understood that they were going to die soon.
They all sat and watched, comfortably seated in their offices chairs while enjoying the show. The whole scene could be mistaken as a movie night between colleagues. The only thing that was missing to make that images even more realistic would be snacks and drinks. But instead of the snack and drinks, they had notepads and pens in their hands as they took notes once in a while when something they considered relevant or that could be of any importance later was happening.
Of course, Ava Paige was seated front row, a satisfied and very excited grin settled on her face as she watched herself the ordeal unfold just before her eyes. There was something fascinating for the woman in the way these teenagers, these humans were being pushed to their limits, trying to do anything possible to survive. She had recommended this trail specifically because she had no longer the will nor the patience to wait for promising results. She already had her suspicions about who was going to be the answer to all of their questions and reveal himself as the cure to the Flare. She had very high hopes for the young man and was certain that he would brilliantly succeed this trail. She had already seen how he was having suspicions about Teresa just as she expected.
