Chapter 6

Before we start the story, I'm so sorry my posting has been weird. I've had a lot of mental health struggles, so bare with me. Thank you sm for being so kind about it :)

The competition was weeks ago, and ever since then, Marinette had been training hard-very hard-harder than someone should train. All of the coaches and skaters were worried that she would burn out. But they were wrong.

Marinette had read Luka's letter.

Dear Mari,

I am so sorry that I kissed you, much the less without your consent. I would be mad too, and I do not expect you to forgive me. But if you could even begin to consider forgiving me-I would be eternally eternally grateful. Also I know that you're into Kagami now, and I totally 100% ship it because you two were made for each other.

Marinette had forgiven him after that letter.

Today, after practice, Adrien had insisted Marinette eat. He said that she would become drastically underweight if she trained consistently with no balance. Marinette tried to explain that she lived in a bakery, but Adrien had been so isolated that she wasn't even sure if he knew what a bakery was. So, Marinette, to satisfy Adrien, went to the Miraculous Ice cafe.

"Hey, Nettie." grinned Kagami. Marinette smiled back. No matter how stressed she was, Kagami's simple presence could make her relax. "So, I was thinking...you know how the food here sucks?" asked Kagami. Marinette nodded. "Well, I was thinking, that maybe we could sometime-just me and you, get real food?" she asked. Marinette felt her heart pump faster. Also, she'd never seen Kagami this nervous before. "I mean, obviously, if you don't want too-"

"Oh my god, Kagami, I'd love too!" smiled Marinette. "I'm free-Friday?"

"Friday-yes I love Fridays! Okay, Friday it is!" she smiled. Marinette grabbed her bag, and was about to get in Luka's car. He was driving her home again.

"Marinette, just so we're totally clear, I'm asking you out and assuming you're not straight?" called Kagami. Marinette turned and grinned.

"Sweater Weather all day, baby!"

Marinette told Luka all about this, and he was incredibly excited.

"Ah, young love. How I wish I could find my person." he sighed dramatically. Marinette playfully slapped him.

"Ooh maybe Chloe Bourgeois."

"I'd rather eat dirt."

"Wouldn't we all."
"She totally likes you." Luka said, fiddling with Marinette's skate bag.

"Pfft, no she doesn't" she scoffed.

"No she totally does. That's why she pretends to hate you so much. She's in denial of her sexuality." said Luka. Marinette looked at him. There was no way this was true. She laughed it off as she grabbed her bag from him.

"Good night, Luka. I'll see you at like 4am." she laughed.

"Night Ms. Bourgeois-Dupain-Cheng."

"Will you shut up?"

"Never."
