Athena woke up with what she couldn't believe was a smile on her face for the first time in her life.

Perhaps it was the sunlight shining through the window into her eyes, perhaps it was the original hardwood floor beneath her or the small blanket she owned all by herself tossed on over her; or perhaps it was the fact she wasn't in a freezing cold jail cell like she assumed she would be back in by now.

Although it was arguably nicer than her previous 'cells,' the apartment she had called home for one night shared a similar feature of her previous mould ridden abode, despite the drop of sun and thin knitted blanket she found herself freezing from the lack of heating of the presumably broken radiator- that was until she felt a hint of body heat next to her, turning to see a equally as half naked Morgan led watching her with a soft, sleepy smile that she wanted to bottle.

"Good morning, creepy."

"Good morning" he smiled at her as she rubbed her eyes with a yawn.

"You're awfully cheerful this morning-" Athena chuckled, pulling the small blanket to cover herself before shuffling over more into Morgan's side, "-and warm."

"Hey, I'm not just your personal radiator you know" he laughed whilst wrapping his arms around her to let her head rest on his warm chest as his hands gently traced up and down her back.

"Shh radiators don't talk."

"Tell that to your broken one- it's been squeaking all morning."

"What is the time anyway?"

"No idea" he mumbled a kiss into her hair.

"Don't you have work today?"

"Probably" he smiled again against her forehead, no plans to leave her side or the apartment any time soon.

"You're gonna get fired for not turning up; the criminals will be running ramped in the streets- crime numbers will go up and the world will turn to ruin all because you wanted to lie on my shitty apartment floor with me" Athena joked past the blush appearing against her will on her cheeks, nestling her head further into his arms to avoid exposing her irritating enjoyment of his need to be near her.

"Worth it."

"Gross."

"Come on- you gotta admit that was pretty sweet" he laughed as she mockingly gagged despite the flutters it created in her stomach, nudging him with her shoulder, forgetting about her injury and wincing with a series of mumbled swearwords.

"Are you okay?" Morgan moved back slightly with concern that she ignored, finding herself moving back into his arms once more.

"Yeah I just knocked my shoulder, all good."

He smiled and wrapped his arms around her before his phone started ringing from beside them, making her laugh when he didn't move.

"You gonna get that?" She quizzed up at him.

"No plans on it" he smiled down at her, brushing the hair out of her face and letting his hand linger on her cheek.

"Come on stupid, go do your job" she chuckled, leaning over him and passing his ringing phone.

"Why would I do that when I can stay here with you all day?" He winked before reluctantly answering said phone, "heya Hotch..."

Athena found herself only half listening in to the conversation she would normally ease-drop-in on at the drop of a hat, instead oddly finding herself humming to herself as she grabbed her overshirt that had been thrown next to her the night before, buttoning it up as she shimmied into her one pair of mom jeans that had not won the battle with the FBI's washing machine to remove all of the blood stains.
