Getting Settled

As I walk off the train with my stuff pansy pulls me aside.

"You better not try anything with draco, ever because he is mine" she says in a bitchy tone.

"Pansy he is my best friend, why would I try anything with him" as I say this I start to think what if I want to see if he likes me back this year so we can be more than friends. I shot that thought down because how could he like me, we are only friends.

"Just don't try anything you ugly pig", pansy says as she walks toward draco.

She starts to talk to draco but he seems to not care so he's not listening.  He notices me looking at him and pansy with a disgusted face and he gives me a 'what is that look for'.  As he looks at me I look away and start to walk to the carriages that are going to hogwarts. 
As I get up to the carriage draco runs up behind me to catch up. 

"Hey why did you make that face at pansy why she was talking to me" Draco says confused

"Because she had just said something to me that was stupid and annoying." I say in a disgusted tone

"What did she say" (draco)

"Nothing important enough for me to care about, let's just get on the carriage" (me)

He looks at me with a 'i know your lying and I will find out' look and I just ignore it.

We get on the carriage with crabbe and goyle and pansy managed to slip on.  After an hour or two we arrived at hogwarts.  We get out and started to walk to the great hall.  As we walk into the great hall we head to our seats.  I sit down and draco sits beside me.  Pansy walks up and sits right in between us.  She gives me a death stare and turns to draco.

"So dracy what are we doing tonight?" (pansy)

"I don't want to do anything with you pansy" (draco)

"Why not, you know I can make it fun" she says as she moves closer putting her hand on his thigh.

I roll my eyes and look at the food.  I take a bite or two and then sip my drink. 

"Pansy leave me alone, I don't want to do anything with you and that includes sex" Draco says annoyed.

I look at pansy who has a hurt face one and I smirk at her.  She glares at me and turns to draco and kisses his lips hard.  I look back at my plate and I think to myself why her kissing him annoys me.  I look back up to see draco pushing her away forcefully.

"I'm going to go back to the common room, I'm tired from the train ride and I want to have a good day tomorrow before classes start on Monday." I say as I stand up and head to the doors of the great hall.  As I make my way down the corridors I think to myself why do I always leave when pansy does something, do I like draco.... no I couldn't he is my best friend and I don't want to ruin that. 

As I get to the dungeons I walk up to the painting and say the password.  "Pure-blood"  as it opens i hear foot steps from behind me and when I look back it is draco.  I walk into the common room and head to my dorm until Draco grabs my wrist and spins me around. 

"Hey are you ok, you keep leaving early?" Draco says with a concerned look on his face.

"Yea I'm fine" I say as I fake smile

"If there is anything wrong you know you can tell me right?" (Draco)

"Yea I know I can, thank you for always being here for me" (me)

"Are you kidding you are my best friend, if I wasn't there for you then I wouldn't be your best friend" (Draco)

As soon as I hear the words 'best friend' my heart sinks a little.  I hate that I don't know what this feeling is and its driving me nuts.  I look at him and smile as I give him a hug.  He raps his arms around me and hugs tight.  I nusle me head into is neck.  We hug for a good while before I pull away.

"I should um probably go to bed." I say as I'm pulling away, slitly embarrassed.

I look at draco and he looks a little confused like he always does.  He looks at me and pulls me back into a hug.

"Your not going anywhere just yet" Draco says as he hugs me tight, like he can't get enough.  He hugs me tight as he pulls me closer so that there is no space between us.  I melt into the hug like I don't want to pull away. But them I remember I want to go to bed early so I'm not tired in the morning. 

"Draco I want to get a good night sleep so I'm not tired in the morning" (me)

"Fine" Draco says as he picks me up and walks toward my dorm.

"Draco put me down!" I yell as I try to escape his hold but it doesn't budge.

"Not until we are in your dorm" Draco says walking to my door.  He unlocks my door and walks in closing my door.  He walks over to my bed and throws me on the bed.

"Ow, you didn't have to throw me on the bed." I say as I look up at him

"Just be happy I didn't throw you on the ground" he says as he smirks.

"Yea whatever, I'm going to bed now.  Goodnight"  (me)

"Goodnight diana" he says as you goes toward the door and walks out and closes it.  As soon as he closes the door I get up and take a quick shower.  Then I brush my teeth and put my pj's on.  I turn off the lights and get into bed.  As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out so I never heard my roommates come back into the dorm later that night.
