The ringing in your ears continued as your eyes widen at the sight of Wonwoo; he was a completely different version of the Jeon Wonwoo you've established in your head. Your eyes never left his until you feel a tug on your arm, shaking you up a bit as Sungho tries to call for your attention.
"Y/N," Sungho says as your head turns towards him, finally snapping back to reality as you start to hear Eun-kyung singing her heart out to Sweater Weather. "Y/N," He says again.
"Wonwoo—" You mumble softly as you felt your heart beating fast, looking up at Sungho. "I saw Wonwoo."
Sungho looks at me confused, "What do you mean—"
"I saw him! He... He was..." You trail off as you started to feel nervous. Why was I getting nervous? You just saw a classmate, nothing special about that, you thought to yourself as you look to the side, trying to look for him in the crowd. He was suddenly gone from your sight but the guys who he came in with were still there, almost as if he vanished. "He was right there just a while ago! We made eye contact and—"
"Hey, hey, hey," Heechul, a bit tipsy already, cut you off while speaking. "What do we have here, lovebirds? What's up?" He says with a slight slur as Sungho elbowed his side.
"Y/N said she saw Wonwoo. You know, the guy who ignored Jung?" Sungho says as Hanna and Eun-kyung join in the conversation as well since the song just finished.
"The quiet kid? With glasses?" Hanna says with her eyebrows furrowed. "Don't you think it's out of his... comfort zone?"
"But I really did see him!" You tried to convince them, "He wasn't wearing glasses, and he seemed like a different person but I'm sure it was him."
"Okay, I think you've really had too much to drink," Sungho says, "Maybe you just thought it was him." He says as a new song started to blast through the pub, causing more people to crowd onto the dance floor.
You just sighed to yourself as your head starting to hurt because of the crowded space and the loud music, maybe because of that sudden incident as well. "It's getting a lot more cramped here, I'll head back to our table," You say as Hanna follows you, thinking you were that tipsy to the point you were already seeing people, guiding you through the crowd. Sungho then drags Heechul and Eun-kyung out of the dance floor as well, since they were getting wilder and it was a school day tomorrow.
You guys wrap up for the night, paying the tab and heading towards the car. Sungho didn't drink that much since he was driving while Eun-kyung and Heechul barely wanted to leave, their wild side causing stress to Hanna at the back seat.
You feel your start to get heavy mainly because of the amount of booze you've drunk. Your mind was still replaying the scene with Wonwoo which also lead your head to ache a bit. I'm sure it was him, you spoke to yourself. You were skeptical at first because they might've just had the same facial features, but the puzzle pieces fit in perfectly as soon as you saw the necklace. It was the exact same necklace you saw when you bumped into Wonwoo after class.
You let out a loud sigh, closing your eyes as you feel the car run smoothly in the quiet midnight roads of the city, suddenly thinking if you'll regret the drinks you drank the next day and if you'll have a hangover.
After a while, Sungho drops you off first as you thanked him, telling him to take care and safely drop off the rest of the people as well. You watch the SUV drive off quietly, turning around as you enter the apartment building. You reach your unit, prepare yourself for bed as you wash up, and the next thing you know, you've crashed onto your bed and slept soundly.
---
"Fuck." You swore as you arrived on campus panting, missing your first class because you forgot to set an alarm and overslept. You caught your breath as you checked the time on your phone: 10:32 am.
