I was lost in a deep slumber when my phone started vibrating on my nightstand. Ignoring it, I rolled over and tried to resume my dreams. But it persisted, buzzing incessantly with notifications. Groaning, I reached for it, squinting at the bright screen that illuminated the darkened room.

To my surprise, it was her. She had messaged me repeatedly while I was fast asleep and had sent another message just as I woke up. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and read her messages, feeling a sense of intrigue wash over me.

I quickly replied to her message, eager to hear what she had to say. It seemed like it was going to be an interesting day.

Alizeh: "Wake up idiot!"

Alizeh: "By the way, I slept again at 7.20 am, and woke up just now!"

Varun: "Were you serious when you said 'much more than anyone will maybe!'"

Alizeh: "Shh!"

To that I replied.

Varun: "I love you very much, idiot!"

Alizeh: "I know gadhe!"

Varun: "And you?"

Alizeh: "Do you really want to know?"

Varun: "Tell me I wanna know!"

Alizeh: "I love you a lot like very much!"

Varun: "Thank you so much Alizeh!"

Alizeh: "Shh!"

We talked about the upcoming exam for some time. She was kind enough to offer help with the topics I was not confident about. Her gesture touched me. After she left, I started studying in earnest.

In the evening, we had to collect our STLD answer sheets, and she messaged me to meet her at the gate at 4 pm. I agreed, but before I could reply, she sent another message, urging me to come quickly. I couldn't help but chuckle at her impatience.

As I rushed to meet her, my heart pounded with excitement. When I saw her waiting for me, my spirits lifted. We made our way to the classroom together, eager to see our results.

As soon as we entered, the professor asked us to sit and wait for our turn. I sat next to her, and we chatted while we waited. When we finally received our answer sheets, I was thrilled to see that we both had scored really well. She had scored full marks, and I was genuinely happy for her. We filled up some forms and left the classroom.

She stayed with me even after filling up the form, urging me to hurry up. I didn't understand why she was getting angry at me. I even said  "If you want to leave or getting late, then you can leave", but she stayed and I could see that she valued our friendship. After we left, we went back to our hostel. This time, she didn't ask me to stay back.

I returned to my room and continued studying. The subject was COA, and I was terrified of it. This was the first time I was so scared before an exam. But as I studied, I received a message from her. I could tell from her tone that she was equally scared. We talked for a while, and I felt better.

I couldn't help but wonder why she was behaving so strangely. Something had changed in her, and I couldn't put my finger on it. But I was glad that we were talking more. Maybe she wanted us to happen. Maybe she wanted to spend more time with me. Whatever it was, I hoped we could figure it out together.

Alizeh: "I will definitely fail in COA tomorrow, take it in writing from me, did you complete your syllabus?"

Varun: "Same yaar, I am shit scared, and no yaar it's still left, I don't know what will happen, I will also fail tomorrow!"
