CHAPTER 14: The C.H.A.O.S (Part 3)

Our trip had finally begun as we reached the railway station. We made our way to our train and settled into our berths. I could feel exhaustion creeping up on me as most of us hadn't slept the previous night. With a sigh of relief, I lay down and closed my eyes, hoping to catch a few winks before we reached our destination.

But before I could drift off, my thoughts turned to her. I knew I couldn't resist messaging her.

Varun: "And listen don't think about me much, just enjoy yourself!"

I dozed off on the train, feeling grateful for the opportunity to rest. I knew Alizeh was sleeping too, and I didn't want to disturb her, especially since she and Kabir along with some of her friends had plans to go to Jaipur in the morning. I figured I'd just let her sleep and we could catch up later.

When I finally woke up around 9:30 am, I checked my phone and saw that Alizeh had messaged me a few times already. Her responses to my earlier messages were amusing, but also concerning.

"You just shut up idiot, I don't want any bad trips as soon as I wake up!" she had written.

"My head is just aching a lot!" she added.

The soft glow of my phone screen flickered in the dark, its constant buzzing nudging me awake. Half-asleep, I reached for it, squinting at the messages flooding in.

Alizeh: "You're probably sleeping, so I won't text much. I know you'll wake up if I do. Just take care of yourself, okay? And... I miss you a lot!"

By then, I was already awake, thanks to the relentless buzzing. I quickly typed back.

Alizeh: "Why did you wake up? Sleep!"

Varun: "Same ❤️, and shh!"

Alizeh: "❤️❤️!"

Alizeh: "Me shh!"

Varun: "And why do you have a headache?"

Alizeh: "I only slept for four hours, babe. Of course, I have a headache!"

Varun: "Yaar, sorry for keeping you up all night!"

Alizeh: "Are you mad? You call me babe and then apologize for keeping me awake?"

Alizeh: "Idiot!"

Alizeh: "It was my choice to stay up!"

Alizeh: "I wanted to be with you!"

Varun: "I know you did!"

Varun: "Now go get ready!"

Alizeh: "There's still time before we leave, and I've already taken a shower, so just let me talk!"

Varun: "Okay!"

Alizeh: "Yuss!"

Varun: "Good girl!"

Alizeh: "Yuss🥺. Did you sleep well?"

Varun: "I finally slept around 7:30 AM."

Alizeh: "Idiot, why so late?"

Varun: "Areyy, I just wasn't feeling sleepy!"

Alizeh: "Idiot!"
