It's now Friday and you've spent this week avoiding telling Mia the news, I really don't want to leave her, but I have no choice but to tell her.

It's now lunchtime, Mia and You sit under the big tree on the playground to eat your lunches together. "Hey Mia, I have something to tell you." You look down at your hands fidgeting, "Lay it on me." She turns her body towards you, "I'm moving" You say bluntly. Her eyes open wide in disbelief as she spoke again "Yeah and? What's so bad about moving?" "I'm moving to Japan" you fully get out.

Her eyebrows knitted together "oh" she lets out slightly looking down at her hands "when?" She asked "Tomorrow." Her expression drops even more. "I was planning to tell you on Monday but... I couldn't do it." You say grimly as she quickly grabs your hands up and yells "YOU BETTER NOT FORGET ABOUT ME!"

You looked at her shocked, she had tears and snot streaming down her faces. Inevitably You began to cry too, "I won't, I promise!" She wipes her tears and snot with her sleeves as she began to compose herself. "Well it's not that bad, I'm planning to go to a hero academy in Japan for high school so maybe we can see each other then."

She had a small smile on her face. She's always had a knack for looking on the bright side of things, you don't know how she does it. "What's the name of the school?" You asked, "It's UA high school, it's the number one hero high school in Japan and I want to go there to be a hero when I grow up." She said enthusiastically. You remembered that Mia is half white and Japanese.

"Okay, I'll see you in Japan then." You stand up holding out your hand to pull her up. "Mn!" She grunted in agreement as she grabs your hand to shake on the promise.

You got picked up early today from school because your flight was in the afternoon and it was a long one at that. The most important possessions were sent there first, so your family wouldn't have to worry about carrying all that luggage. Your parents headed to the airport, after getting Aito and Quinn from school, then boarded your 13hour long flight.

Musutafu, Japan
(Y/n) age 6

You landed in Japan in the evening and it was nighttime now, your father and mother went to get your grandma from the hospital, while you and your brothers get settled first. It was an old traditional Japanese styled home, it had lots of rooms.

It was nothing like your old house, you still get to have your own room though, your sure once you add your touch, it'll look much better. Your mom said that you start your new school tomorrow which surprised you by how fast she was able to do so but, whatever.

In the week you had to pack your stuff and ship them to Japan, your mother was helping you and your brothers with reading and writing in Japanese. You were barely able to grasp the concept but she said when you go to school in Japan, they'll help you even more.

After putting the last plushy on your bed, you lay down to try and process everything, because this week had gone by so fast. After about five minutes your parents are back with grandma, you get up to go greet her, seeing as though this is your first time meeting her in person.

"Hello grandma" You don't usually speak first, but I don't want to be rude so you do so. She looks down at you with disgust on her face "No English in this house, you're in Japan now so speak Japanese."

She walked away to her room, you continue to start straight with tears filling your eyes, you didn't know she was going to be so mean on our first meeting, your dad noticed this and knelt to your level " Sweetheart don't cry, it's okay. That's just how grandma is. When she found out her daughter was dating a black man, she completely flipped."

He giggled at the memory "don't let it get to you okay? Your a (L/n) and we aren't pushovers." "Yes, daddy." You said to reply, still feeling a little hurt. You walked back to your new room to wait for dinner to be made.
