(I'm skipping over the USJ attack because it doesn't exactly push the story where it needs to be, but it did happen, I'm just not writing about it.)

(Y/n)'s POV

A lot has happened in this past month, but I can say that due to these events, our class has grown a lot closer. The Sports Festival is nearing close and my classmates have been training their butts off. After this floofy purple-haired dude declared war on our class, we started to take the Sports Festival a little more seriously. I started training on my own again, using the same workout routine I used to get in shape for the entrance exams, but this time I doubled it.

Instead of two laps, I did four. I stacked and un-stacked cars eight times, and I carried on with regular workouts, not changing anything about them. I was always on the brink of throwing up after everything I did, but I never gave up. I even took it upon myself to start taking kickboxing classes to help with my hand-to-hand combat skills that were lacking, and before you know it the Sports festival was tomorrow.

I'm so nervous, that I wasn't able to sleep a wink last night, which isn't a good look for me. But because of this, I was able to get up bright and early to get dressed and head downstairs, with more than enough time to spare. "(Y/n) sweetie, your father wants to talk to you." My mother hands me the phone and I see that she was on FaceTime with my father, "Hey dad!" "Hey (N/n)! Listen, good luck today. I'll be watching you with my buds here. I wish I could be there in person to support you, but I'll send my love virtually." He said making a kissy face to the camera.

My father has always had a soft spot for me and it shows. I mean I am his only daughter after all. His encouraging words settle my nerves a bit. My mother drives me to the stadium where the event will take place and it's huge. Before getting out of the car I double-check for my Bluetooth music player and headphones. I also packed backup earbuds just in case my headphones get knocked off or break.

When I get there my class was put into a room to wait for us to be called out. I see Izuku muttering to himself and then Todoroki-kun walks up to him to declare war on him. Something about him being better than him and that he will win. Izuku admits that Todoroki-kun is stronger than him, but that doesn't mean he won't go down without a fight. 'Man, he's really come a long way. I couldn't be prouder of him, finally standing up for himself. I guess he won't be .. needing me to do that for him... anymore.' It's kind of bitter-sweet, but I knew this would happen one day, where Izuku won't be needing my help anymore.

Suddenly, Iida comes through the doors to tell us it's time to head out. I put my earbuds in my ears and rest my headphones over my neck and I clip my music player into my teal belt, securing it so it won't fall off, and head outside with my classmates. My heart is pumping, I can't tell if it's because I'm nervous, or excited. I feel my quirk flickering, so I guess it's a mixture of both. When we finally make it outside I hear the crowd going wild.

There are so many people here watching us today, it's crazy. I can't imagine how many people at home are watching us right now. After all the classes made their way outside, Pro hero Midnight made her way to the podium to start the sports festival. "Before we get things started, let's hear a few words from the girl who placed first in the entrance exams! (L/n) (Y/n)!"

'.... ME!?' I scream internally. My heart sank to my ass, I'm not good with being put on the spot, especially in front of so many people, but I still made my way up to the podium. "Ahem! Hey everyone let's do our best out there today!" "WOOOOOOOO!" Suddenly all the boys from all the classes start to cheer, and the audience follows after.

I make my way off stage to hide in Jirou's shoulder. "Omg, that was so embarrassiiiing." "Hey, at least your voice didn't crack." "True." Shortly after, Midnight explained what our first event was going to be, and it's an obstacle course.

We were all waiting outside for the gates to open to the obstacle course. I connect my earbuds to my Bluetooth music player and put my headphones over my ears to protect my earbuds from falling out. I skip through my songs and decide to play 1Verse by J-hope.

Play the song

The trumpets going off in the intro, instantly gets me hyped up. I feel the Serotonin shoot through my body and I feel weightless again. And of course a signature smile on my face. Simultaneously, the doors open wide, everyone's pushing to try and get through the doors. With how small the doors are, and the number of students trying to get through, I knew it would be a while until I could get through those doors.

So I decided to jump up and fly through myself, and it seems like my other classmates had the same idea. Once I made it through the doors, I was about to land on the ground until Todoroki-kun froze it. The students that made their way through the doors were now trapped by their feet being in ice, I guess it's a good thing I can make myself float. Todoroki-kun and I were now in the lead.

Suddenly zero-pointers from the entrance exams appear in front of us. He freezes them over, but because of the position they were in, they began to fall over, and underneath them were students, one of them being Kirishima-kun. Right now, I can't afford to worry about my classmates, I think they can handle their own, and that goes for Izuku as well. I can't play favorites.

Finally, I can land on the ground and continue running without worrying about my feet getting stuck by ice. Kacchan also catches up to us, "If you think I'm going to let you come in first again, you have another thing coming, Crazy Eyes!" He screams using his explosions to propel himself forward. It's crazy how he can be louder than my music, "We'll just have to see about that!" I say to retaliate.

We reach this place where the ground is gone and the only thing there, were these pillars and ropes attaching them together. I don't want to think about falling off, even though I doubt that would happen. I take advantage of being weightless and having super strength. Getting a running start I jump off the ledge and onto one of the pillars. 'That works I guess.' I continue jumping from pillar to pillar until I finally reach solid ground. Thank god I ran all those laps or else I would be a goner by now.

Todoroki-kun, Kacchan, and I are still in the lead. For the last part of the obstacle course, we reach a Minefield, and with one wrong move, you'll be flung into the heavens. I start to speed up, putting all my strength into my legs, passing Todoroki-kun and Kacchan, before taking flight. Running gave me an extra boost that I needed to be ahead of the boys for some time, but who knows how long before they catch up. For now, I need to focus on clearing this Minefield. I was so close to clearing it when I heard a loud BOOM come from behind. I turn around and I see...IZUKU?!

He comes flying towards me with a piece of hunk metal in tow, when he gets in front of me he slams it down onto a mine, setting it off. The explosion sends us flying forward with me landing hard, and him stumbling into a sprint. Izuku was now in First place. "Wooooow... Good for him... but I'll have to pay him back for that." I say out loud feeling my quirk get a little stronger, and my smile growing, I guess Izuku's determination for First place hyped me up.

I get into a running position, and I take off after him, I hear Kacchans explosions and Todoroki-kun's ice getting closer as well. I catch up with Izuku not too long after. When I got closer to him, I slowed down so I could say, " That was a really smart idea Izu, but unfortunately for you, I'll be the one taking First place." I winked and blew him a kiss as I passed him. After a few more seconds, I cross the finish line, confetti shoots out, and the crowd goes buck wild. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

I look around, out of breath now, at all the people cheering and screaming for me in the stands. This was a brand new feeling, even though I'm tired from using my quirk for that long, the serotonin is still shooting through my veins. I smile and wave at everyone in the audience, looking for the cameras so I could wave to the people watching at home, and to my family.

A few minutes afterward, Izuku crosses the finish line, with Kacchan and Todoroki-kun in tow. I skip over to Izuku, who was now sitting on the floor trying to catch his breath and I pier over him. "Good job out there Izu! You almost had me for a sec! I didn't think you would catch up that soon though, but still good job!" I hold out my hand for him to get up, but to my shock, he pulls me down into a ...hug?

"I didn't want to be left behind again," He pulled away and I just stared at him."I wanted to show you that I'm not the same person I was before. You don't need to fight for me anymore. But instead ....LET ME FIGHT FOR YOU!"
