Izuku's POV

Oh my gosh, what am I even saying? She's probably so confused by my behavior. I don't know what came over me, if this is a confession I just failed. "wAh, you know what I mean? You and Kacchan are so strong, I feel like I'm being left behind, and I wanted to take first place to show you guys I'm not weak anymore. So in a way, I'll be fighting for you now, to repay all those years you've fought for me. AHaha that's what I meant. This is a display of my strength, you know?" Ugh, now I'm rambling again.

I take a look up at her, and her eyes were a faint rainbow color and her cheeks were slightly flushed. Did I just make (Y/n) blush again? "No ones ever said that... they'll fight for me before... thanks I guess. But instead of fighting for me, fight for yourself. I wasn't helping you to get the favor returned, I wanted you to learn how to stand up for yourself. And if beating me in this Sports Festival, is your way of fighting for yourself, then so be it." She looked at me smiling. phew, I think I just saved myself some embarrassment.

"Also what was the hug for, if that's what you wanted to tell me?" "O-Oh uh, it was to congratulate you on your win, plus I kind of wanted a hug," I said the last part meekly, "Ha, if you want a hug all you had to do was ask silly." I got off the floor and brush myself off, but then I felt myself become enveloped in a familiar warmth and that's when the smell of cocoa butter and vanilla hit me. I wrap my arms around her, not wanting to let go of our embrace, but I would need to in a few. I don't want people to get the wrong idea of us, but then again... that wouldn't be so bad.

(Y/n)'s POV

When I was hugging Izuku, I noticed that he had gained a little more muscle, and was more toned now, 'Hmmm, I see you Izuku.' I praised him internally. Izuku was acting more weird than normal. I've never seen him act this bold before, and what was all this 'fighting for you' stuff all about? Whatever, I'm sure he has his reasons, but I'm not sure how much my heart can take. When he pulled me down for a hug, he really shocked me, my heart was beating so fast, I didn't know what to think.

After the rest of the students came through the finish line, our places were displayed, and of course, my name is in nice gold letters with a number one next to it. Only forty-two students are allowed to move on to the next round, and the rest are eliminated. Midnight came back to the podium to discuss what we were going to be doing next, and its a Calvary battle. Students must form a maximum group of four people, you need one rider and one person as a horse to qualify. She then revealed that each student is given a certain amount of points, based on what they placed during the obstacle course.

I was given ten million points... everyone else's points ranged from 300 to 5 points but I was given ten million. Everyone will be gunning for me, and because of this, no one wanted to be in a team with me. 'What am I going to do? There's not much time left.' I look for Izuku, but it seems like he already had a team. I kept looking around for some or people who don't have a team yet and I stumble across this tall girl with jet black hair and hot pink tips that reached her shoulders. She has to be at least a foot taller than me, she also kind of reminds me of someone. I go up and tap her on the shoulder, "Hey, do you have a team yet? Do you want to be on mine?"

She turns around and suddenly, I remember who this girl reminds me of, "Mai?" "Hey (Y/n), long time no see" She smiled down at me "OMG, you made it into UA just like you promised." "Of course, and yeah I'll be in a team with you. I think we're the only ones left though, hehe" She said scratching the back of her head.

"I don't mind being the horse, you are shorter than me, so I'll carry you." "Oh okay, that works for me." After all the teams were settled, the Calvary Battle was about to start. If our points headband gets stolen or if we fall down, we have thirty minutes to get up and get it back, and the five teams with the most points will move on to the next event.
