Midoriya sat looking at a photograph that his mother took, a picture of you and him.
It was the year before middle school and the school you were graduating from was having a dance, you had asked Midoriya to go with you. You meant as friends and he knew that but at the thought of dancing with you made him nervous and excited.
Both of you wore something that didn't look awful but it wasn't anything fancy, you had on a jumper and he had on buttoned up shirt with some pants.

"Izuku!" Midoriya looked up from his drink to look at you holding out your hand.
"let's dance!"

It was an upbeat song then again it was an elementary dance their wasn't going to be any slow songs. So you guys danced and your dance lasted a few songs until both of you got bored of the whole dance completely and walked out of the doors.

"Hey, what do you think happens to people who die," Midoriya thought about his answer while looking at the sky.

"I'm not sure but maybe they turn into stars, why do you ask?"

"Stars, I like that," you pointed to a star separate from the rest of them, "let's say that one is my mom!"

Midoriya wasn't expecting that answer, to an outsider it would have sounded extremely cheery but he could tell talking about it hurt you, he swung his arm around your neck and brought you closer to him.

"You know, you're my best friend." You told him

"Forever and always?" He rested his head on yours.

"Well duh stupid," you rested your head as well.

What Midoriya didn't realize was that while he was replaying his memories, he had started to cry and as if you had some sort of sixth-sense you walked into his dorm room.

He turned around to face, putting the picture frame away and trying to make his face look less wet. You tilted your head and frowned a little before walking over to his bed, sitting down, then pulling him into a hug while asking "you okay?"

Midoriya simply nodded while hugging you back, "I'm alright, just thinking back to elementary school.."

"Oh yea, that's when you become a dork and never grew out of it."

"Hey!"

"Hey!"
