You never actually had any ill feelings towards Bakugo although you and him would get into fights when you would catch him messing with Midoriya.
Bakugo on the other hand had always found you quite interesting seeing as you were the first person that could stand toe to toe with him in a fight. Even coming close to beating him in the second year sports festival.
He couldn't help but hate when he saw you walking with Midoriya acting all friendly with him because someone on his level shouldn't associating with someone as weak as Midoriya.
When you joined class 1-A people were quick to be your friend, though you didn't exactly stand out.
During the cavalry battle at your first sports festival you had joined his team and when Monoma copied Bakugo's quirk then Kirishima's you responded with "that's a cool ass quirk, I'm gonna take this now," then proceeded to take a headband.
You even got super close to Ashido for a month a little before him and her started dating.
So when he saw you at the hospital because of his rival, it angered him immensely.
Then when you went up to him and proposed the bucket list and wanted him to be the one to join you in your mission, it made him hate Midoriya more seeing as he got to see the side of you Bakugo wished he could've seen.
He wished he could have seen you when you weren't thinking about dying, or worrying about him when he saw something that set off a coughing fit.
He really liked being around you.
He really wanted you to live.
He really really liked you.
Was this feeling platonic or romantic?
It kept him up late at night, replaying his Home Screen of you.
