Today was the first time in a month that you had gotten to talk to your dad. Seeing as he gad been overseas on a military base in Hawaii helping America fight a small battle against Cuba.
"Hey baby, how are you doing?"
You had sent him a letter letting him know about your state when you originally received the information.
"I'm alright.. I guess."
"Well this uh Hanahoki thing, I asked my crew about it one said that his son had it and apparently it was unbearably painful, I know your tuff but are you in pain?"
"I mean not really, I've heard of people coughing up thorny flowers and it scratches their throats -I haven't had any of that but sometimes it's hard to breathe.."
"Well I got my birthday taken away from me."
"Wait what?" You perked up at this seeing as this meant a story you needed to hear. (True story btw just changed to fit this storyline also it includes football and idk shit about it so bear with me)
"Well I told my general that the Patriots were gonna beat Jaguars ass and he said well if they do you'll see what happens and I said what are you gonna do take away my birthday and he just looked at me, so when I got back he called me into his office and said I'm very disappointed in you I want you to sign this and get out of my face. I read the paper and it said for having a terrible taste in football teams this document hereby relinquishes Sargent (L/n)'s birthday."
You burst out laughing as you heard a knock at your door, opening it you saw Bakugo holding a textbook with his notebook and paper.
"Hey Dad, I gotta go it's study time."
"Talk to you later sweetheart, I'll try and find an open flight as soon as possible, I love you."
"Love you too."
With that you hung up, it was times like this that you missed your dad, you missed when your sister was healthy, and you really missed your mom.
