Mr.Mysterious

I burst though the big double doors of my house. I  looked like a filthy mess because of the pouring rain outside. My light blue dress soaked, and it dipped in puddles of dirt every time I walked a step in front of me. My makeup smudged with mud ,which was getting into my dark brown eyes making them burn. My light brown lose curls wet and tangled with leaves, twigs, and dirt. Water from my hair was going down my neck; making everything even more uncomfortable.

"Excuse me, but you must knock first-...Oh, Lady Iris. I apologize, I thought you were someone who walked it without permission." Said my maid, Bella who was wearing her black and white maid outfit. It made her small thin body look a bit bigger, her wild red hair was in a neat braided low ponytail, and the sun shining from outside made her rosy skin look milky.

She looked up from the floor seeing me drenched in water and mud. Her dark green eyes widen as she ran to me. "Oh Lady Iris, what happened? Did you walk all the way here from Sir William's, Manor? Did you fall down a hill on your way here? Do you need any help?" I rolled my eyes at her questions and began to walk up the stairs to my room bringing mud into the house.

" Lady Iris, you are getting the floor all dirty! Lady Iris, do you need me to do anything for you? Is there anything I can do-..." I cut of Bella's sentence by putting a finger to her lips. " Bella...I need you to do something for me without talking, okay?" I said while moving my finger away from her lips "Yes Lady Iris, but-..."  She began, but then I immediately put my finger back on her lips cutting her sentence off once again. "I said without talking Bella. Now nod your head if you understand." Bella nodded slowly showing me she understood. "Good. Now Bella, I need you to run me a hot bath and help me get out of my corset." Bella nodded as I gave her smile.

We walked up the stairs heading to my room, so I can get cleaned up. Bella was done running a bath for me, so she began taking off my corset. When that was done she walked to my bedroom door quickly saying "Call if you need me." Then she walked out. I slowly put myself into the hot bath, when my body was fully in, I let out a loud sigh of relaxation. I slowly washed my light skinned body and hair from the cold rain water and mud. I started massaging my aching feet with soft rubs and cracking my toes.

After I was done washing myself I stayed in the bath remembering the day I had. I realize that I had forgotten about the man who saved my life a few hours ago. I was trying to remember what the man looked like, but nothing came to mind. Only a black hooded outline of a person. I could only remember his soft touch and the scar on his left hand. The X shape scare.

'I wonder what his name is,' I thought to myself as I looked at my hand that he touched. 'What was he doing in the woods in the first place?' I started to think. ' What if he's a criminal on the run? What if he's a killer and was hiding a body in the woods? What if he is a stalker and has been falling me around?' I started to panic, as thoughts run around my head about what could have made that man go into the woods.

"What if he was just taking a walk in the woods?" I whisper to myself trying to clam down. "Yeah... I am pretty sure that's it." I said restoring myself with a claiming smile. " What if he just likes the rain, decided to take a long walk in the woods, and  happened to find me?" I muttered while hugging myself remembering how scary it was hanging from the cliff. "Well whatever he was doing in the woods I hope to find out who he is, so I can thank him in person...well unless he's a ghost of course." I said jokingly laughing to myself, but quickly stopped hoping that wasn't the case. "I don't need to be the town's crazy lady saying 'look at me I got saved by a ghost'" I said waving my hands in the air while moving my head side to side.

I did a long sigh dipping my hand in to the warm water. I stayed under for 45 seconds before coming up for air; wiping the water away from my eyes so I could see. I sighed another time looking up at the ceiling still thinking about that man who saved my life. I look at my hand again "Why can't I stop thinking about him? " I asked my hand. After realizing how crazy I look I put my hand back down.

"Now that I think about it, he did have a wonderful soft voice." I said out loud with a small grin on my face. 'Maybe if I wasn't freaking out I could have really enjoyed hearing him speak' I thought as I laughed remembering how scared I was that I yelled at the poor man who was helping me. ' I hope he doesn't think I'm rude or anything.'  I paused for a long moment.

"..."

" What does he think of me!?" I yelled out loud with the realization of how I treated the man who took time from his day to save my life. "Oh he must think I am such a shrew!" I said while tightly closing my eyes and smacking my hand to my face in utter embarrassment of how I acted. " I sure don't want him to think I am some rude spoiled brat. I was only scared so It was right for me to act like that...right?" I questioned myself if it was right to act rude to him, because I was in a scary situation the meant either life or death. My mind going back and forth to yes, no, yes, no, yes... "Differently not!" I said with my eyes closed and shaking a fist in the air.

"I really need to find him, so I can thank him and give him a big apology for how I acted" I said with a confident smile that only stayed for a few seconds then went back to a frown. " But Hooww!?" I whined while pouting my bottom lip in frustration. I realize that my bath water was starting to get cold, so I sighed once again looking at the bath water.

"I should get out." I told myself. I looked back up to the ceiling "No matter what Iris, you must find him...yes you can do that, how hard can it really be?" I smile even though knowing it was going to be very difficult to find a man who I didn't know the name of. "Who are you Mr.Mysterious, and how will I be able to find you in this big world of ours?"
