"A party?" Y/n who sat at the big table asked and her head butler M/n (male name) nodded, "Yes, my lady, it's at the Goetia Family. Prince Stolas have sent an invitation." Y/n groaned and sank in her seat.

Stolas is her childhood friend but his father didn't approve of your friendship so he separated you from his son. They haven't seen each other since their teenage years.

And now, Stolas is married and has a kid, while Y/n is lonely in a giant mansion, barely talking to many besides her servants.

"Y/n, my dear..." M/n said and petted the p/n's (pet name) head. "Go and see him." He said and looked into Y/n's eyes. She sighed and looked away, "Fine... I'll go"

"Stupid old man," Y/n whispered as she walked towards the Goetia estate. M/n have been doing this for years. Since Y/n's father never had time for her, M/n who has been the head butler for many centuries has always been there for her.

Y/n stood by the giant front door, about to knock when the door opened to reveal one of the butlers. He smiled brightly "Ah! Mrs. L/n, it's so good to see you again" he said and Y/n blushed and giggled slightly, "Y-Yeah, it's nice to see you too."

The imp let the overlord into the mansion and showed her the way to the ballroom where she saw all the other overlords and royals.

She gulped and backed away a little, the man looked at her and closed the door, knowing she wasn't good with crowds, "M/n forced you here, didn't he miss?"

Y/n nodded and he chuckled "Typical, Sire is in the back with his daughter,"

"W-What about his wife?"

"Unfortunately *he rolled his eyes* they have gone through a divorce. Lady Stella is out of the house for good." Y/n didn't think of it until she saw the butler looking at her, it was the first time in years she smiled a genuine one.

"Just go in there and meet him, you haven't seen each other since your teen years, right?" He opened the door fully and she stepped inside where she noticed some of the guests look at her and some gasped when they recognized the woman.
"It's that the daughter of L/n's?"
"I think so."
"She's gorgeous,"
"I have never seen her this up close before."

Y/n carefully listened to the whispers as she made her way over to the head of the Goetia family.

Stolas heard the whispers as well and looked over to see the woman, he smiled brightly, "Y/n! It's so good to see you again" he brought her into a hug.

Y/n tensed up and blushed with embarrassment and at the thought of her childhood friend and crush hugging her just killed her inside.

"I-It's good t-to see you too, Stolas," Y/n said when he let go of the hug and brought her closer to Octavia.

"Y/n, meet my daughter, Octavia. Octavia, this is my childhood friend, Y/n L/n." He introduced and Octavia smiled at the taller woman, "Nice to meet you, miss Y/n. I have heard very much about you"

"O-Oh, really?" Octavia nodded and pointed at her father "Yes, father won't stop talking about all the work you've done" Y/n blushed and looked away "I-It's nothing,"

"Y/n..." Y/n looked up at Stolas.
"Walk with me... Via, why don't you go and socialize with Charlie or the Eldritch boy."

"Uh, sure," Octavia said and walked over to her childhood friend, Charlie.

Y/n and Stolas were walking in the garden, admiring the surprisingly healthy flowers in silence until Stolas stopped and Y/n did the same, looking up at him. "S-Stolas?" she asked in her usual shy voice. He looked down at her and tucked a string of her hair behind her ears, causing her to blush madly red.

"I've missed you... I had nearly forgotten how beautiful you are. Or more how beautiful you always have been..." Y/n looked at him in shock and Stolas smiled, he leaned closer and gave her a peck on the forehead.

He smirked at her blushing face that she quickly hid behind her hair. "You're cute when you're embarrassed—"

"S-Stolas... Please stop..." Y/n whispered and Stolas tilted his head a little, "What?"

"Please stop... playing with my feelings..." she whispered, a little bit louder this time.

"Y/n, I—" he lifted her head up and gasped to see her tears. She quickly hides it and wiped away her tears but new ones just fell.

"Y/n, I would never, I've loved you since we were kids, I couldn't stop thinking of you. Stella was someone my father forced me to marry... I... I have always loved you."

Y/n stared at him as her tears fell, Stolas wiped them away and caressed her left cheek. He leaned closer and she quickly closed the gap between them. Stolas held her close by the waist and Y/n held him around the neck.

The two parted and touched foreheads. Y/n was a blushing mess, but she was very happy and smiled brightly. "I love you too, Stolas"
