"Alright let's go."
Ignoring the gawks and stares she was receiving from the people lined up in the lobby, Akari waved towards the receptionist...who let her pass automatically.
"Damn it." Akari headed into the elevator which was, lucky for her, empty.
Huffing at her blood soaked gloves and clothes, she sighed. "Good for me I have extras in my room." Pressing the button for her floor, Akari winced at the pain in the back of her head. 'probably caused by those assholes'
~Once she got to her floor, Akari picked up her bag and made her way to her room, thoughts of her previous encounter going through her head. 'ryunosuke huh...he's definitely interesting'
Shrugging, Akari turned the final corner, her body practically begging to be cleaned. "A nice shower will do~" She hummed, unlocking her door and musing her hair back into place as she stepped inside her room.
Then she looked up.
'tell me this isn't happening, please, please tell me this isn't happening'
Akari walked in the room and growled lowly, her face contorting in rage.
Hisoka was waiting for her. How long he had been waiting here, she didn't know. Yet there he was-propped on her bed, giving her a shit eating grin as his golden eyes seeming to smile at her. His eyes raking over her blood stained clothes and disheveled appearance.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Akari snarled, throwing her bag on the floor and storming up to the bed, her hands clenched in fists.
"I'm here to see you, duh~" He chuckled, patting the empty spot on the bed besides him. "You look tired, come sleep-"
A deafening smack was landed on his cheek, but unlike before there wasn't a murderous glint in his eyes when he looked back up to her.
"Get out."
"...?"
"Pakunoda's dead because of you!" A soft sob escaped her lips as she struggled to pull herself together. A daunting look passed over Hisoka's face and his expression became stoic as realization washed over him."Wrong. Pakunoda's dead because she decided to tell the troupe about Kurapika. It had nothing to do with me~"
Akari hated to admit it, that he was right. She'd blamed him, yet ultimately it was Paku's own decision. Still-
"Still." She hissed, raising her hand to go for another strike. "You're a traitor to the troupe, and deserve to die for the things you said to me!" Akari snarled again, striking him across the face. Hisoka's didn't even retaliate, he just lay silent on her bed.
"Yes, I know. I said some terrible things...~"
"Yeah, yeah you did Hisoka!"
Akari bit her lip, running her hand down her face. "Just-just get out. I'm packing my things and leaving."
Hisoka's brow furrowed as he abruptly sat up. "Where are you going~?"
Scoffing, she shook her head. "Like hell I'm going to tell you."
His eye twitched. "Akari-" "Shut up. Get up and get out."
She pointed towards the door, heart pounding in her chest. Akari watched as he swallowed, sliding off the bed and standing next to her.
Tensing as he cupped her cheek with his hand, Akari's jaw clenched.
"Get out."
"Akari-"
"Get out!" She hissed, slapping his wrist away and storming to the bathroom, slamming the door shut. "What-what the hell..He can't be here to see me, he was a fucking dick to me!" A soft growl emanated in her chest.
"Sweetheart-" Hisoka's muffled voice came through the door, agitating her more.
"Do I have to repeat myself?!" Akari snarled, leaning against the sink.
"Let me in-" "No." "Ari-" Her eye twitched. "Fuck off!"
Silence. Akari sighed in relief as no sound came from the bedroom.
"I hate him....fucking dick.." Akari hissed while splashing water on her face then grabbing a towel. "The audacity he had to say those things to me- disgusting."
Then she heard soft knocking. Her eye twitched.
"Akari, I'm sorry."She remained silent. 'Damn I have great self control...if I didn't I probably would've attacked him by now.....'
"Please open the door."
"...Fuck off."
It was quiet for a minute as Akari sighed, waiting for him to leave.
"Sweethea-"
"I swear to god, JUST GO AWAY HISOKA!" Akari screamed, hands balling into fists as her fists pounded against the door, sending him a clear message. 'stay the fuck away from me, asshole'
"...If that's what you wan-"
"It is."
"....Alright~"
Akari heard shuffling from the other room as Hisoka, presumably, left. 'thank god'Taking a deep sigh, Akari leaned against the sink in her bathroom, glaring at her reflection.
"I swear...he can die for all I care!" Wincing at her own words, Akari felt her eyes well up with more tears. "Why oh why....Why can't I hate him-?!" She whispered to herself, sliding down to the floor.
"Why-why, why, why!"
Tears streamed down her cheeks, dripping down her chin. Running her hands down her face, Akari tried to calm herself. 'i'm supposed to be mad....right? the way he spoke, acted to me was inexcusable...so why--'
Hearing a sigh from the bedroom startled Akari. 'he's still here, after i told him to leave-?'
"Hiso-"
"I know what you're going to say~"
"Then why-"
"Please. You-you don't have to forgive me right here, right now..But please~"
Akari held her trembling lip between her teeth. "I'm listening Hiso-Hisoka." "What I said back there...I was angry and upset~" 'i hate him, i hate him, i hate him'
"But-"
"But. That's so excuse for what I did...what I said~"
'why does he even care? is it because we- no. we have nothing. he just doesn't want to feel a sense of debt or something like that. yeah, it has to be that.'
"Hisoka."
"Yes darling~?"
"...Go fuck yourself."
"W-what~?"
Akari sucked in a slow breath, anger quickly building. "You heard me. Leave." She could hear his stuttered breathing as a hand was pressed against the door.
"Akari please~!" "Why do you even care?!" She snarled, eye twitching as she ripped the door opened, glaring at the tall man."Akari-" "No! Why. Do. You. CARE, Hisoka Morow!"
His gold eyes bore into her, mind racing.
"I..."
"I'm waiting, Morow." Akari hissed, arms crossed over her chest as she watched him slowly swallow.
"Well? Why do you care?"
"I-"
"Well?!"
His jaw tensed, brows furrowing slightly as he answered.
"I don't know."
