written from Kay's perspective

I heard the bell ring and knew it was finally time for lunch. I was starving and excited to be able to eat, though I was a little nervous to see if there was still any tension left between the group. I guess I'll be finding out soon enough anyway, so no point in stressing about it. I walked to my locker to put my books away, before making my way to the line up for food in the cafeteria. From where I was standing in line, I could see Demetri already sitting at our table, and Miguel wasn't far behind me in the line. I waved over to Miguel, to signal to him that everything was all cool again incase he didn't know yet. He looked a little shocked at first, but quickly covered it with a smile and a wave back to me. I kept moving with the line until I got my food, and then I waited for Miguel so we could walk to our lunch table together.

"Hey!" Miguel said to me after he got his food.

"Hey, sorry if I made you uncomfortable this morning." I told him, figuring I should apologize to him because he didn't deserve to be on the receiving end of my anger.

"No, it's all good with me. How about you and Demetri though? Is this about to be the most awkward lunch ever, or..." He trailed off, wanting to know if I was still mad at Demetri.

"No, me and Demetri are cool. He apologized to me during break, so there's no more hard feeling between anyone." I told him, just as the two of us made it to the lunch table and took our seats.

"Hey guys." Demetri said to us as we sat down.

"Hey." Miguel replied with a nod.

"Hey, where's Eli?" I asked, as I looked around the cafeteria to see if I could see him, thinking maybe he was just running late.

"I don't know, I haven't seen him since before break." Demetri told me, also looking confused as to where his friend could be.

"I'm sure it's fine guys," Miguel cut us out of our worried state, being the optimist he is, "he's probably just in the bathroom or something." He said.

"I guess so," I agreed, still unsure though, "Demetri, can you at least text him for me, and ask him where he is?" I asked. Demetri groaned, and pulled his phone out, scrolling for a minute then passing his phone to me.

"Here, just put Eli's number in your phone, then you can text him." Demetri said. "While you're at it, put mine in your phone too." He finished saying before taking a bite of his lunch.

"You can put my number in both your phones, it's 213-6372." Miguel told us. I put his number into Demetri's phone first, because it was in my hands, then got out my own phone and put the three boy's numbers into mine.

"Thanks." I told Demetri as I handed him back his phone. He mumbled out a 'you're welcome' before continuing his conversation with Miguel about Karate, that I was completely ignoring. I started to text Eli.

Kay

Hey Eli, it's Kay :)

I noticed you aren't here with us at lunch, and I'm wondering where you are?

Just text me and let me know, I'm worried about you.

Oh and btw Demetri gave me your number, hope that's okay.

I sent the texts to him, and stared at my phone for the next few minutes, but didn't get any answer, so I turned my phone off and set it down beside me on the table, hoping I would get an answer soon.
