written from Kay's perspective

I started walking to my fourth period class, French, and noticed Eli walking about a foot behind me.

"You following me Eli?" I jokingly asked him. He blushed, nervous I think that I was talking to him, but even so he still answered.

"No, I have French fourth period, so that's where I'm headed." He replied shyly. He was very cute.

"No way! I have French fourth period too, so now we can walk to French together every day!" I exclaimed happily. His blush rose even more, and it made me think he was even cuter. I really hope that me and him end up closer, in fact, I was going to make that my mission. I was going to become best friends with Eli, just because he seemed different. But different in a good way. I noticed that he was still walking behind me, so I stopped walking for a moment so that he was now beside me, and then started walking again. I looked over to him and smiled, and he smiled back. His smile was weary and a little unsure, but it was still there, so I knew I was making progress. We didn't speak any more as we walked side by side to class, but his presence was enough to keep me happy, and hopefully he felt the same. As we entered through the door frame to French class, I noticed that all the desks were sat in groups of two, so I waited to see where Eli went to sit, and followed him to sit next to him.

"You don't need to sit next to me you know?" Eli finally said to me, sounding quite sad.

"Oh, well I want to sit next to you. Unless you have someone else you want to sit with, because then I can move-" I said starting to stand up.

"No, you can stay," He said, and I slowly slid back into my chair. "I just don't want your sympathy. You don't just have to sit with me because I'm a loser." He finished, looking down, again avoiding eye contact with me.

"I'm not sitting here with you because you're a loser, I'm sitting here with you because we are going to be best friends." I told him. I looked over to him and noticed his hand was sitting on top of his desk, so I reached mine over and held onto his. I lifted our hands up in front of his face, "See this? This is out of friendship and not sympathy." I told him laughing as I put his hand back down.

She reached over and held my hand, holding it up in front of my face.

"See this? This is out of friendship and not sympathy." She said to me, letting out a breathy laugh. God, she was driving my hormones through the roof. Did she not realize that I'm a teenage guy, who never interacts with girls, let alone gorgeous ones like her, and she just nonchalantly held my hand? Now I'm flustered, and on top of that, she's wearing my hoodie that looks amazing on her, but it's a little too small for her, so the bottom of her stomach is hanging out slightly, and it's tight across her breast area, which just happens to be naked under MY SWEATER! All these factors were making my pants grow tighter by the minute and I was panicking, because I didn't want her to see. Luckily before anything else could happen to make it worse, our French teacher came in and started teaching, drawing Kay's attention to the front of the room instead of her focus being on me.

It was the last 5 minutes of class, and M. Cyr, our French teacher told us we could have the last few minutes to talk with our desk-neighbor, because we wouldn't be moving seats from now on, so we should 'get to know them so it isn't awkward' to quote him exactly. His time teaching let my body calm down, and my pants were no longer as tight as they were before, luckily for me. I had let what Kay said earlier about us becoming best friends sink in, and I think she was being honest and not playing me, so I gathered all my confidence I had in my body, and turned to talk to her.
