"Ow!" I yelped out, as the remote bounced off my head and onto the bed beside me. Kay quickly came over to me, kneeling in front of me so our heads were at the same level. My hands held onto my forehead where I had just been smacked by the remote.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" Kay told me, placing her hands on my knees.

"It's fine." I breathed out, still holding my forehead.

"Here, let me look at it." Kay said, reaching and pulling my hands from my forehead, but keeping them held with her own. "You're bleeding!" She gasped out.

"WHAT?!" I said panicked.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to panic you, it's just a little cut, but you should probably still put a Band-Aid on it. Where do you keep them?" She asked sweetly.

"There's some in the top drawer of my dresser." I told her. She nodded and walked over to my dresser, opening the top drawer and taking out a Band-Aid for me. She walked back over and started to open the Band-Aid.

"I can put it on myself." I told her, reaching my hands out to take it, but she pulled her hands away protectively.

"No! I'm the one who's going to do it because I feel bad because it's my fault it happened." She said as she finished opening the Band-Aid, and applied it carefully to the little cut on my forehead. The part of it I don't think she thought about, was because she was leaning over me to get a good angle to my forehead, her chest was nearly pressed against my face, which I'm not complaining about, other than the fact that it started to make my hormones rise. She pulled back admiring her work of placing a Band-Aid on me, before tilting her head to the side. "It's missing something..." She said, and I wondered what she meant. The suddenly, she grabbed the sides of my face and held my head as her face dove down. She placed a soft kiss right onto where the Band-Aid was, and the pulled away again, grinning satisfactorily.

"Uh... th- thanks." I stuttered out, flustered by what had happened, and the fact that Kay had just kissed me. Well kind of kissed me, but still, A GIRL KISSED ME?! I was sort of freaking out.

"Your welcome," She said with a giggle before changing the subject, thankfully before things got weird because I had nothing to say. "So, what movie are we going to watch?" She asked.

"Well, do you have any suggestions?" I asked her, not wanting to come off weird incase I picked a movie she didn't like.

"Why don't we watch Guardians of the Galaxy? That one always makes me happy when I watch it." She said smiling at me. I nodded, and turned on the TV scrolling through the Netflix movies until I found it. I hit play, and the movie started. I hadn't realized that Kay was still standing, that is until she started crawling over me to get to the other side of my bed, where there was room for her. Before I knew it she was practically straddling me, and she paused to make eye contact, and my breath caught in my throat, I had never been this close with a girl. She then kept crawling until she was sitting to the left of me with her back against my head board. I scooted up to the top of my bed so I was sitting the same way as her, and then we quietly watched the movie. The only issue was, I wasn't focused on the movie, I had too many thoughts about Kay running through my head. I had thoughts from how cool she was because she liked some geeky stuff too, like superhero movies, to some rather terrible thoughts about how she looked when she was crawling over me. I thought about who she probably was before she moved here, and what her friends were like, everything about her was buzzing through my mind. Then it crossed my mind that I liked her, but did I like her because she was a pretty girl, because she was the first girl showing me any attention, was it for her personality, or was it for a mix of everything. I didn't know and I was so confused. I was brought back to life and out of my thoughts by a weight being placed on my shoulder. I looked down to my left, and Kay had laid her head on me.

"Is this okay?" She asked, looking up at me so sweetly.

"Y-yeah." I squeaked out, as I blushed, and she smiled before turning her head back to the TV. I looked at her for another moment, before finally starting to watch the movie with her.

About half way through the movie, she started to get up, so I looked over at her worried I had done something wrong. She must have been able to tell by the look on my face.

"I just have to pee, where's the bathroom at?" She asked.

"It's just down the hall on the right, but just look for the room with a toilet and you'll find it," I said and she laughed at me. Well at my joke, not at me. I hope. "Want me to pause it while you go?" I asked, referring to the movie.

"No, that's okay, I won't be too long." She said as she climbed off the bed, and walked out of my room.

I walked out of Eli's room and down the hall, until I found the bathroom. I went pee, and washed my hands before finishing up and walking out of the bathroom. As I walked out, I nearly walked into Mrs. Moskowitz.

"OH! I am so sorry, I didn't see you there!" I exclaimed to her in apology.

"No worries Kay, accidents happen." She reassured me. "So, what are you and Eli up to?" She asked as she placed her hands on her hips.

"We're just watching a movie, what about you?" I asked her, trying to be polite.

"I was just about to go start making supper. Do you like chicken and potatoes?" She asked back.

"Of course, I think you would have to be crazy if you didn't." I told her with a small laugh behind the sentence.

"Obviously, what was I thinking," She said playing along, "would you like to stay for supper?" She asked me.

"I would love that, I just have to text my mom to make sure it's okay with her though." I said, pulling my phone out from my back pocket.

"Okay, well I'll be in the kitchen, you can let me know what she says when she answers." She said, walking past me down the hall towards the kitchen. I started texting my mom and asked her if I could stay for dinner at Eli's, to which she texted back saying I could, just to text me when I was ready to go, and that she would come get me. I walked into Eli's room, just as I finished texting my mom a 'thank you'.

"Sorry for taking so long." I told Eli as a sit down on his bed by his feet.

"That's fine, I barely noticed." He said.

"Yeah, I ended up talking to your mom once I was done." I told him with a smile creeping onto my face.

"Oh no, what did she say?" He asked worried that his mom had said something bad to me.

"Nothing really, she just wanted to know what we were doing." I told him.

"Did you tell her we were watching a movie?" He asked. That was such a stupid question, I thought. But, it did give me the opportunity to play around and get him going though, so I gladly jumped onto it.

"No, I told her we were in here making out." I said as seriously as possible. His face dropped and he turned bright red, making me struggle to not burst out laughing.

"Why would you say that to her?!" He whispered yelled at me. With that, I couldn't take it anymore and I burst out laughing, confusion replacing worry on his face. "What, why are you laughing at this?" He asked, somewhat mad, but mostly confused.

"Obviously I told her we were watching a movie you nincompoop!" I told him still laughing. "And she invited me to stay for dinner, which I accepted, unless you don't want to spend any more time with me, in which case I can leave." I said.

"Okay, one, playing with emotions like that is not cool. And two, why would I want to not spend any more time with you?" He asked.

"Maybe because I pull tricks on you." I smirked at him. He rolled his eyes at me.

"Let's just finish the movie." He said. I crawled back up to my spot on his left, sitting with my back up against his headboard again, and we watched the rest of the movie, each of us sneaking quick glances at the other.

"Hey guys, dinner's ready!" His mom yelled from the kitchen, just as the credits had started to roll on the movie. Eli shut off the TV, and the two of us walked to the kitchen together for dinner.
