The next couple days became more and more exciting, most likely due to the fact that we have been starting to get a bit more comfortable at Hogwarts. Teachers started to let us do more things without the book, usually with our wands, almost every day. Though Quirrell and Professor Binns were the only exception.

We got pretty close with most of our classmates. The Slytherins began to stay in a group, not talking to anyone outside of their house unless they wanted to insult them, and I guess even insult those in their house.

The Gryffindors were easily likeable. Most of them were pretty nice and didn’t really bother anyone about anything. The Hufflepuffs were also pretty likeable and easy to get along with, even though a couple did seem to keep to themselves most of the time.

Transfiguration and Charms easily became my favorite classes, due to the fact that they have a ton of practical work and in Transfiguration, everytime a Slytherin makes a side remark about the class, Mcgonagall would take off points. Malfoy was one of the people that lost the most points though, I felt pretty bad for Yuri since he was doing nothing and was affected by the actions of his housemates.

Herbology became pretty dislikable, most likely because of the fact that Professor Sprout’s hearing wasn’t that good so the Slytherins got away with a few things. Lisa started to hate it as well, since whenever she heard that we would be having that class, she would mumble something under her breath. Potions also became dislikable for Snape liked to pick out the smallest and stupidest of things that me and Lisa did wrong. Like I didn’t cut the root correctly or I should have helped Lisa with this when I did. It was annoying.

“If only I could drop potions. If I hear Snape complain about either of us one more time I’m going to flip! And it’s only the second week!” Lisa said grumpily as she plopped down a seat at the Ravenclaw table, scooping some chili but not touching it afterwards.

“Cheer up! You’ve gotten better at potions! We only get points knocked off twice rather than three times a week.” I said, grimacing since that didn’t really sound like something to be happy about.

“Yeah.. But I don’t get why he hates us! We’ve done nothing!” Lisa exclaimed.

“Maybe Malfoy told him something hate worthy in his eyes about us or he heard about my heritage and thought to bully me because I didn’t get into Slytherin and you just tagged along. I don’t know!!” I screamed, my head falling onto my arms which were folded on the table.

“This is why we shouldn’t question teachers, it makes so much more sense.” Lisa said as she finally took a bite of her chili, I grabbed a spoonful of mashed potatoes and placed them on my plate.

“Flying classes were fun. I may be starting from the start once more but it’s really fun personally.” I told her, trying to change the subject.

“Yeah, though it seems like I got bo where all class. I only got to get the broom to fly into my hands twice, getting on the broom was probably the hardest for me.”

“I think you were doing great! I mean I had a ton of trouble at first when I tried getting on a broom who knows how many years ago.” Lisa before class started told me that she never rode a broom before since her family lived near muggles and their parents only had charms to a certain extent, not to mention the both of her parents were afraid of heights.

“Really? I thought I was making a fool of myself.” She said, her cheeks slightly pink.

“No, you were great. Honest!” She smiled and took another bite of her chili. I heard voices from behind me, seeming to argue a bit. I looked behind and saw that Malfoy was saying something to Potter, seeming to pull a look that makes him seem better than him and his friend Ron.
