I looked up at the troll before me, frozen in place from fear, my heart thumping about a million beats per minute. I felt my face go pale as I observed the troll. It  was very ugly, almost exactly as I pictured it from when I read a couple books about them.

It’s skin was a moldy sort of color, it drooped and sagged down its body structure as if it was poorly attached. The clothing it wore was ripped and tattered, and seemed to have mold on it from what I assume is from the troll wearing it for so long. The smell didn't bother me that much but it was still disgusting.

Drool was sloping down it’s face and snot from its nose, it clearly hasn’t noticed me yet.

I shakily let out a small breath before backing away, my feet hardly moving but to where I could get somewhere without being noticed, hoping the click of my shoes are not heard.

My shoes silently clicked but it seemed to not be paying attention to me, thankfully not hearing me as my thoughts swarmed my head.

What is a troll doing here? At Hogwarts? Maybe I didn’t read A Hogwarts History clearly, because it had to have mentioned a troll in it once. No that's not what I should be asking. What was Quirrell doing down here before the troll was out? Did he let it out? What if-

“Shit!!” I screamed, I realised that I tripped over the corner of the corridor, since my focus was on the troll and the troll only (yes it is very possible) and fell, thankfully catching myself with my right arm.

I sighed in relief before I felt the ground shake, as I looked over at the troll, and my face lost all the color it had left. The troll had noticed me , and was making its way over here. You would think it would be slow but no, it was actually making its way towards me at a good speed.

As it was about five feet from me, I immediately scrambled to my feet, fishing my wand out of my pocket as the troll made its way towards me.

The troll then raised it's club at me, I immediately sprinted towards the side and screamed as loudly as my lungs could take, soon enough turning around as running down the corridor.

I heard giant footsteps from behind me, practically shaking the ground, which made me trip then catch myself many times. It’s footsteps sounding as if someone was dropping something very heavy on the ground constantly.

I turned to find the troll following me, and was not too far behind. I screamed once more before trying to run faster, feeling as if I was going to collapse in place.

I then felt my wand hand raise, and I turned around still running, then screamed a spell at the troll.

“Incendio!!” I then saw a brilliantly bright fire shoot out of the tip of my wand, like a bullet as it headed towards the troll, but narrowly missed it's foot.  I muttered a curse as I turned around to get ahead once more, and turned around.

“Incendio!” I yelled once more, Beautiful orange flames shot out once more, dancing it's way towards the troll, and hit it on the foot, almost missing. I cheered momentarily and turned around, jumping up the stairs of the dungeon.

I then reached the ground floor and slowed to a stop, I then looked around the hall and saw students going up the stairs very quickly, seeing as Professor Quirrell must have told the Great Hall about the troll. As I tried to catch my breath before racing up the stairs, trying my best to move quickly but also blend in with the students.

I didn’t do very good at blending in, since I was very behind and looked extremely alarmed about the situation. I hurried up the stairs as quickly as my legs could take me, constantly looking behind me to see if the troll was following me, even though it obviously wasn’t.
