*still Winter's pov*
The bell rang and Billie basically ran out of class. I texted D.J. that I was meeting up with someone and I would see him after class. Because usually I go and say bye before he has practice. When I was done I started walking towards the bleachers.
When I got to the back of them I heard yelling. Knowing there was no game today, I ran to see what it was. It was Billie, being jumped by 3 girls.
I ran faster to the other side of the bleachers. I immediately pushed them off of her. They all stopped. Came at me one on one like they were in a movie montage. First was Ashlyn Bridges. She tried pulling my hair but missed it. I pulled her back down and kneed her in the gut and pushed her to the fence that was separating the track from the bleachers. She fell holding her stomach.
The second girl Emma Greene. God I hate her. She took a swing and missed. I started laughing. I don't know how she missed I was right in front of her. As she fell forward from missing I punched her nose. Making her cry while it was bleeding on the concrete. Not to much though.
The third one. Wasn't a girl. It was Emma's brother. James Greene. He came at me and tried kicking me in the side. I blocked him by grabbing his leg and pulling up. He fell on his ass. And I then punched him in the face twice. Giving him a broken nose. And a black eye.
I ran to Billie while they were all crying. She was barely conscious. She was going in and out of consciousness. I took her phone out and call Finn. He rushed us to the hospital.
When we got there she was taken in on a gurney. They had rushed her to go and take tests and blood work. Because they wanted to make sure she didnt have any swelling of the brain or punctured lungs.
When they had taken her back. I turned around. And saw Finn crying into his hands. I walked over to him.
"Finn?" I say standing in front of him.
He looks up, eyes red and puffy. He stands and engulfs me into a tight hug. Of course I hugged him just as tight back.
"Wh-what we-were you doing th-there?" He asks pulling out of the hug.
"Billie asked me to meet her there, to tell me something." I replied.
"Wait y-you didn't" he started.
"NO FINN I would never have any part of this!" I said cutting him off.
"B-But why did you save h-her? Y-you hate her!" He kinda yells at the end.
"Finneas Baird O'Connell I LOVE YOUR SISTER. With all my heart! She may kinda bullied me or get stuck in my head for hours all the time. BUT I FUCKIN LOVE YOUR SISTER!!" I said completely yelling. Not realizing there was a doctor standing there next to us.
"Uhh Ms.O'Connell is awake kinda has been the wh-whole time, you've been yelling." He says kinda sheepishly.
"What room?" Finneas and I say in unison.
"667" they say as I ran down the hallway with Finn not to far behind.
*Billies pov*
I wake up in a hospital gown. FUCK I think to myself. How did I get here?? Last thing I remember is Ashlyn kicked me in the head, shit my head hurts. And then I saw *KnOcK kNoCk* "Come in" I said. It was the doctor.
He said "Ms. O'Connell"
"Eilish" I interrupted him
"Right well, Ms.Eilish after the x-rays and CT scans. It seems you have 2 broken ribs and a concussion."
"We will be keeping you over night, because you could be at risk of a seizure and we dont want that to happen. So no jumping shaking your head. Cool?"
I shake my head in response.
"Hey Doc?" I ask. He turns around "Could you turn the lights down their hurting by eyes?" I ask.
He walked out of the room. And I heard someone yelling "FINNEAS BAIRD O'CONNELL I LOVE YOUR SISTER WITH ALL MY HEART!" I didnt realize who it was. Then it came to me
"Winter?" I said kind of shocked to see her.
"Hey Bills" she replied. Then Finneas saw me and ran to give me a hug. He did. "Ow ow ow" I said a he backed off.
"What oh my God Billie I'm so sorr-"
"Not your fault Fin, it was James Emma and Ashlyn." I said. I looked at Winter and she looked pissed. I continued "James and Emma gave me 2 broken ribs and Ashlyn gave me a concussion." I finished.
I look at Winter with dried blood on her hands. And purple knuckles. She looks at me, turns around punches the wall. Putting a fist size hole through it.
"Damn Winter!" Finn says trying not to be to loud.
"What?" She pauses. "I should've done more brake their noses." She say angrily. With tears rolling down her cheek..shes crying I've never seen her cry.
"Winter what do you mean "More"?" I ask her.
"When I got to the bleachers i saw them jumping you. I got the off kicked Ashlyn in the stomach and broke of the Greene's noses. And gave James a black eye. Could you image the school quarter back, being taken down by a girl? Hes 6'0 at least. And I'm only 5'6. And having to explain how he got it" She said with a chuckle.
Silence fell. Not and uncomfortable one..just quiet. Winter was looking out of the window. We were pretty high up, so there was a small city view.
"Billie why were they jumping you in the first place?" Finneas said breaking the silence.
"Uh I was waiting for Winter. And they saw me ti-FUCK- tic,and thought i was talking to them. And they jumped me." I said as if it was nothing.
Winter looked back from the window. Finneas looked at me. "Okay I need to go call mom. And then get some food from the lunch room. I'll be back 20-25 minutes." He says as he walks out.
Leaving me and Winter...alone...by ourselves.
