I walked into the classroom behind Jean and closely followed by Levi behind me. We arrived a few minutes early so I took my seat close to the back and Levi sat down next to me. I thought he might have taken the chance to sit by himself away from people, but I guess his job is also to protect me from any harm.

I've come to realise that I like having Levi with me most of the time. And by most of the time, I mean when he's not a complete arsehole. Which happens to be a lot. But I've warmed up to him a little considering I wasn't keen on having a cyborg creature, machine thing following me everywhere I go. He gives me a sense of security and cosiness for some reason, which I like the feeling of.

"Hey, Yeager. This seat taken?" Jean remarked.

"No, but I wish it was," I mumbled in return, while Jean just rolled his eyes and took the seat opposite me on the table of four.

I took out my art book along with any equipment I managed to scramble together this morning. I then realised that Levi had no art book or equipment, so I'd probably have to ask the teacher for a book and lend him some of my stuff for the time being.

A small petite girl soon entered the classroom, clutching her books to her chest tightly, looking quite lost, as if she had no idea if she was supposed to actually be here right now. The girl had pale brown eyes that had a look of naivety in them, with short strawberry blonde hair resting a tiny bit above her shoulders. She wore a white, elbow-length ribbed top underneath her pastel pink and black plaid dress. Her shoes were Dr Martins 1460, black boots. She slowly made her way over to our table, seeing as though it was the only table with a spare seat left.

"H-hello. Is this seat taken at all?" She said timidly, pointing to the seat next to Jean.

"No, not at all. Are you new here? I haven't seen you around before." I asked as both Levi and Jean now turned to face the stranger.

"Yeah, my first day here. My names Petra." She took the seat next to Jean and laid out her books in front of her on the desk.

"Nice to meet you Petra. I'm Eren, that's Jean and this is Levi." I said pointing to Jean first as he waved to the young girl next to him with a half-smile, then pointing to Levi who nodded his head a tiny bit as if to say he'd noticed her, now leave me alone.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here, I guess that's my own fault for coming in late haha." She said, letting out a nervous laugh at the end.

"Not at all, although Jean can be a bit exhausting at times, be careful," I said looking at Jean to see his reaction, which was most noticeably a glare, and then looking back to Petra who let out a small chuckle and started feeling less anxious about the whole ordeal.

"I'm sure I can handle it, but I'll keep your wise words in mind." She said giggling afterwards and me along with her. Levi wasn't really paying attention with his gaze set out the window he was sat next to and Jean sitting with his arms crossed over his chest and a prominent scowl.

"Right everyone, books out and open with your equipment too." The teacher walked through the door, turning up a few minutes late to class like they normally do. Soon everyone in the room began the task that was set. I managed to collect a new book from the teacher for Levi to use while allowing him to use the supplies I'd packed this morning. Jean also used most of my tools because he forgot to bring his own. Petra let him borrow some of her stuff too.

The class carried on for a while with all four of us chatting about random things, mostly talking to Petra and getting to know our new classmate. Turns out she has all the same classes as Levi and I do. Time was passing by so quickly in the art lesson that we hadn't even realised everyone else was packing away their things getting ready for their next lesson, apart from Levi who was packed and ready to go. We all hurried, shoving our stuff in our bags and making our way out the door to the next class.
