"What the fuck!"
I was so shocked by those words that I almost punched myself in the face, along with almost falling off the other side of the bed because of how much I jumped back. But I did manage to have at least three heart attacks though.
The raven had now turned to completely look and stare in my direction with an emotionless expression, with their arms folded over their chest and their posture slightly leaning back, as though there was a wall to lean on. I, on the other hand, was now sitting on the edge of the other side of my king-sized bed, with my eyes blown open and my heart pounding on my chest as if it was asking for escape. My body was also noticeably shivering from the jump scare I'd just received from a midget, nonetheless.
"What the fuck is up with you, surely you knew I can talk."
"I- I mean- Yeah, I knew you can talk, I- I just thought I had to... tell you what to do first."
The raven didn't look pleased with my statement, causing them to scrunch up their features into a scowl.
"I talk when I want to- and can you just enter a goddamn name already."
"R-right... well, what's your name then?" I asked curiously, looking up to meet the ravens cold grey eyes. His expression softened slightly from my question, making them look taken aback that I even considered to ask them their name. The glare soon returned though not even a second after.
"Levi." They said with a monotone voice.
"Just... Levi?"
"Does it really matter, just put whatever. Not like you give a shit about what I think." They mumbled the last sentence quieter than their usual tone while taking their sights away from me to look curiously around my room. An awkward silence covered the room before I decided to remove it.
"I do."
"What?" The raven asked confused as he swiftly turned his whole body to face me again, arms still crossed over his chest and his scowl was still present, just less angry and much more confused. But there was still resentment in his eyes.
"I do- care what you think. I- I mean it's your name, I just think you should have a say in it..."
The raven turned his gaze to continue looking around my bedroom, leaving another awkward silence to fill the room, but this time it was the raven- or Levi who decided to break it.
"...Ackerman... Levi Ackerman- just hurry up will you." They said with their back to me, picking up objects that sat on my desk, studying them, and then carefully placing them back in the place they were.
Although I couldn't see their face, I could see their posture change slightly. They shifted on the spot almost as if they were uncomfortable or... embarrassed maybe?
"I like it," I said while typing in the name into my phone. Now whenever I ask them to do something, all I have to say is the name given to them, along with my fingerprint.
The raven now turned round to face me. The skin on their cheeks more rosy than usual.
"So... What now?" The raven said looking at me with an emotionless expression.
"Well, I was thinking of visiting the hospital, then meet up with some other friends. Is that okay?" I said, while also asking the raven's opinion.
"I guess, I don't really have a choice anyway. I'm supposed to follow you around and protect you." The raven said with a bored tone.
"Okay... I guess we should go then." I stood up from my bed and started walking towards my door and then down the hallway towards the open living space and kitchen, casually glancing behind to check if the raven- or Levi, was following behind. Which he was.
I grabbed my keys to the apartment and headed out, locking the door behind me and Levi, towards the elevator. This is going to be an awkward elevator ride...
We waited about a minute for the elevator to finally arrive at our floor, and we both stepped into the modern, polished machine. I clicked the button indicating the ground floor, and the doors slowly glided shut, locking us in the small confined cubical while gradually sliding down the elevator shaft to the reception.
"So... What should I call you, as in- I mean like, what pronouns would you prefer. I guess I used they/them because I didn't want to like... be wrong and offend you in any way." I said trying to not stutter over my words like an idiot. And also the fact I'm not really sure about things like this. (And also the author isn't either, so please don't attack me if I said it in the wrong way, I don't know how you ask people these type of things.)
"Well, I'm a guy, so I suppose I'd identify with he/his... And I guess- thanks for asking too." Levi replied, his voice sounding a bit softer than before, and slowly trailing off and becoming more quieter while saying the last sentence. It wasn't too quiet I didn't hear, thankfully. The sentence also made me smile slightly, leaving a small warm feeling in my chest.
"Your welcome." I glanced over to look at the raven-haired man once I'd said my statement, and I could see his pale cheeks had brightened the tiniest bit with a flush of pink. Although his expression remained the exact same, expressionless. I found it kind of cute to see this 'machine' act so... human.
I was brought back from my thoughts by the ding of the elevator signalling we've arrived at the ground floor. The doors slid open to reveal the lobby, and both Levi and I stepped out into the open space.
I started my walk to the front doors with Levi tailing behind.
Maybe the cyborgs aren't so bad after all...
To be continued...

This chapters kind of short and a bit boring but oh well, thanks for reading anyway. Also, I'd also like to work on more stories in the future, maybe some other AoT ships (probably Eruri because that's one of my otp's lol.) Anyway, thank you so much for reading. Please vote and comment on thing I could improve or mistakes you've seen! Love you all! <3
