Chapter three: Turffield

Hey y'all welcome back to the story. I had a lot of time today to finish this chapter and I really hope you are all enjoying this story and thank you to everyone who has read it so far and please continue with your support it really means a lot so without further ado here is chapter 3.

The next morning Victor and Hop woke up to the sound of their alarm telling them to wake up. When they got up they got dressed in their regular clothes to prepare for the opening day. Once they reached the lobby Gloria and Marnie were already there waiting for them.
"Good morning you two." Gloria said.
"Morning Gloria, morning Marnie." Victor said.
"Morning did you sleep well?" Marnie asked.
"Yep never better." Hop said.
After they finished talking in the lobby they headed out for breakfast before they had to go to the gym. They arrived at a small cafe and ordered some breakfast. Victor ordered a breakfast sandwich, Hop ordered bacon and eggs, Gloria ordered a blueberry muffin, and Marnie ordered a breakfast burrito. The four enjoyed their breakfast together and decided to just chat before they had to go. Before they knew it, it was time to go to the gym, the four paid for their meal and headed to the gym to get ready. Once they got in they were given their gym uniforms and they headed to their locker rooms to change. After they finished changing they met back into the lobby.
"Wow you guys look good in the uniforms." Hop said.
"It is just the basic uniform so nothing special about them." Marnie said.
"It doesn't matter we made it this far for the Gym Challenge so let's do this together and may the best one win." Victor said.
"Agreed." they all said.
After they finished talking the clerk announced that it was time for the players to move on into the field. All of the players were waiting by the field entrance before heading into the field. At this time Chairman Rose was saying his annual Gym Challenge speech.
"Welcome everyone, my name is Chairman Rose. Today is a good day especially for all of our Gym Challengers today as they start their journey to become the Gym Challenge Champion. Today I would like to introduce to you all the Gym Leaders of Galar. So without further here come our Galar Gym Leaders." Rose announced as the crowd was cheering.
On the opposite side of the entrance where the gym challengers were the Gym Leaders came out and walked to the center of the field.
"Our first Gym Leader is our Grass Leader, Milo."
"Our second Gym Leader is our Water beauty, Nessa."
"Our third Gym Leader is our Fire pasion veteran, Kabu."
"Our next Gym Leader is one of two Gym Leaders, please welcome our Fighting prodigy and our Ghost boy wonder, Bea and Allister."
"Please welcome Galar's oldest Gym Leader, Fairy Leader, Opal."
"Here we have another dual Gym Leader, please welcome our mother and son dual, Melony our Ice Leader, and Gordie, our Rock Leader."
"Now here are Galar's top two Gym leaders, first we have our rockstar Gym Leader, who never has to Dynamax, please welcome our Dark Gym Leader, Piers."
"And finally Galar's number one Gym Leader, Champion Leon's rival, and master of Dragons, please welcome our very own Dragon Leader, Raihan."
As they were all introduced the crowd got wild to the point that the stadium started shaking of excitement. The Gym leaders reached the center and waved at everyone in the stands. After they finished waving the Gym Leaders excited the field.
"Thank you Gym leaders for coming to this special day. Now I would like to present to you all our Gym Challengers." Rose announced.
All of the Gym Challengers walked out of the entrance into the field and at the moment for the main four they were blasted with excitement. The energy in the air made them a little nervous about the challenge, but throughout the ceremony they kept a straight face and a smile to everyone. After the ceremony they went to the lockers rooms to change back into their regular clothes. They then proceeded to head to their first gym which was in Turffield which was only accessible through the Galar Mine. As they started to get through Route 3 they came across other trainers and battled them. This really helped the team improve their skills and before they knew it some of their Pokemon had gotten stronger. Along the way Victor stumbled a Sizzlipede, victor sent out his Chewtle to battle it and he was able to weakne the Sizzlipede before throwing a Pokeball at it and successfully catching it. Victor now had five Pokemon on his team, so he knew that he had to train them up. He evolved Grookey into Thwackey, his Rookidee evolved into a Corvisquire, Chewtle had become stronger, but Victor knew he would evolve soon, Dreepy was still young, but Victor trained him and knew Dreepy would get there soon. Hop on the other hand was able to level up his Pokemon as well. He evolved his Sobble into a Drizzile, before he left Postwick he encountered a Rookidee that would evolve into Corvisquire, he also found a Yamper that he caught and trained, and his Wooloo was slowly getting stronger. Gloria even though she was not a Gym Challenge continued to build her team up, Scorbunny evolved into Raboot, she was able to catch both a Wooloo and a Galarian Zigzagoon. Marnie had her Morpeko, Crogunk, and Scraggy, she continued to train alongside the other three and travel with them. They continued their journey through the routes into the Galar Mines that they had to go through. The mine was full of crystals and Pokemon around. They walked right through and the next thing they knew they had reached Route 4 which was near Turffield. They decided to head straight for the town and rest up at the Pokemon Center. Once they arrived they went into the cafe in the Pokemon Center for a bite to eat before going to the gym. After their Pokemon were well rested they made their way to the gym where they met Milo.
"Welcome Gym Challengers, I am Milo the Grass Gym Leader, I hope you are ready for the Gym Trial before you face me." Milo said.
"Gym Trial?." Victor asked.
"Yes, every Gym in Galar has a trial for the challengers, before they face the Gym Leaders, think of it as a puzzle to solve." Milo explained.
After he explained it the three went into the locker room to change, Gloria on the other hand made her way to the stands to watch the three battle. Once they got into the trial room, they were given instruction on what to do. They had to get a crowd of Wooloos from one end to the other. The three worked together to get the Wooloos through the field and before they knew it they completed the challenge. They left the trial room and made their way into the field.
"Congratulations on completing the trial, since there are three of you I will battle you one at a time so decide who goes first and I will see on the field." Milo said walking into the field.
The three decided that Victor should go first and the other two waited on the sidelines. Victor and Milo stood on opposite ends of the field and they threw in their first Pokemon. Milo sent his Gossifleur and Victor sent out his Corvisquire. The two battled it out, but Corvisquire was much stronger than the Gossifleur and more effective. Corvisquire knocked out his Gossifleur and Milo returned it to his Pokeball. Milo then threw out his last Pokemon, Eldegross and he proceeded to Dynamax it. The Eldegross grew bigger and became much stronger. The Eldegross knocked out Victor's Corvisquire and Victor sent out his newly caught Sizzlipede and he Dynamaxed it. The Sizzlipede was very effective against the Eldegross and used its fire moves to weaken it. Sizzlipede knocked out Eldegross, the Eldegross burst into flames as it reverted back into its normal form. Victor had won the battle against Milo.
"Congratulations, you have won the battle, here the Grass badge, and I wish you good luck on your journey." Milo said, handing him the Grass badge and his League Card.
Milo healed up his Pokemon and prepared for his next challenger. Victor walked out of the field and met up with Hop and Marnie on the sidelines.
"Nice job Victor, you nailed it out there." Hop said.
"It was nothing really, I just had my Pokemon help me out." Victor said.
"Even so you gave everyone a great show." Marnie said.
"Thanks, so who is up next?" Victor asked.
"Hop will go next since he is eager to battle." Marnie said.
"You are not wrong, wish me luck." Hop said running to the field.
"Honestly, how energetic is that guy?" Marnie asked.
"Very, he takes after Leon in terms of excitement." Victor said.
Hop battle started, and of course Hop was able to beat Milo without much effort. He was given the Grass badge, and the league card. Marnie was up next and she did her best against Milo, but her Crogunk was able to push through. Crogunk dynamaxed and was able to beat the dynamax Eldegross. Marnie won her match and received her Grass Badge. The three headed back to the looker room to change back into their clothes, before leaving the gym. They met up with Gloria who congratulated the three on their victories.
"Wow you three did amazing out there." Gloria said.
"Thanks Gloria." Hop said.
"We should celebrate with some curry." Victor suggested.
"That sounds like a great idea." Marnie said.
The four of them continued to Route 5 where they set up camp for the night. Gloria and Victor were preparing the curry for them to eat, while Hop and Marnie were playing with their Pokemon. Gloria and Victor finished the curry and it was enough for the four and each of their Pokemon.
"Wow this curry is so good, good job you two." Hop said stuffing his face in the curry.
"It was nothing our mom taught us how to cook and plus curry is easy to make." Gloria said.
"Regardless the curry is really good and the Pokemon seem to enjoy it." Marnie said looking at the Pokemon enjoying the curry.
"Well they say the best way to someone's heart is through the stomachs." Victor said and the group started to laugh.
After they finished eating, they cleaned up their areas and got ready for the night. Tomorrow they will head to Hubury to face off against Nessa, the Water Gym Leader. The three could hardly wait for tomorrow and were excited for the match. All four went to sleep for the night while their Pokemon slept with them in their trainers tents.
