Chapter Thirteen: Wyndon

Hey guys welcome back to the story. I do apologize for the very long absence but here I am publishing the next chapter of Bonds of Armor. And I'm really glad you guys are enjoying this story and it really means a lot to me that you guys read it. But enough of me talking and let's get on with the chapter.

The train ride to Wyndon was very long especially since the snow wasn't making it any better. However, the train had come to its destination on Route 10 at the train station. The five trainers stepped out of the train with their bags and headed out the train. Once they got off they were relieved that the train ride was over, but they were not prepared for the sudden snow on the mountains and trail.

"Where did all this snow come from?" Hop said as he exited the train.

"The conductor did say to beware of snow, but we should be able to make it to Wyndon in no time," Gloria said.

"All right let's get going before another snowstorm hits," Bede said as the group headed down the path to Wyndon.

On the way to Wyndon they stumbled upon wild Pokemon and a few trainers, but defeated them at ease as well as keep records of the Pokemon for the Pokedex. After about 30 minutes of walking they reached the entrance to Wyndon. Immedately after raching it they were astonished by the big city and all of the many shops, restraunts, and attractions that they had. Suddenly Hop's Rottom Phone rang revealing that Leon was calling them.

"Hello Little brother I can see that you and your friends have made it to Wyndon for the last round of the Gym Challenge, come meet me at Wyndon Stadium and I will show you all around." Leon said as he ended the call.

Without any hesiattion from the group they all headed to the stadium to meet up with Leon. As they arrvied to the staidum they entered and found Leon and Sonia there waiting for them.

"Hello everyone and welcome to Wyndon Stadium." Leon said welcoming the group.

"Hey Leon." Hop said approaching his brother. 

"Hey Little Borther and the rest I can not belive you all made it to the finals, and infact you four are the only ones who made it to the final round." Leon said. 

"Wait really!" They all said at the same time.

"That is right all four of you will be battling each other for a chnace to be the Gym Challenger Champion as well as battle me for the Pokemon Champion Title." Leon explained to them.

"I can not believe that we are the only ones who made it to the finals." Bede said. 

"Yep so that means it us versus each other I guess that means no hard feelings." Marnie said.

"Yep I say we battle with everything we got." Victor said.

"That is the spirit Im sure one of you can do it and I will be honrored to fight one of you." Leon said.

"So Sonia what brings you here from Wedgehurst?" Victor asked.

Sonia hestitated a bit before answering the question, "I'm here for the final round of the Gym Challenge of course and I'm also doing some research about a recent sightings of a portal." 

"A portal?" Vicotr asked.

"Yeah according to some eye witnesses they calimed to see a hole in the sky and I wonder if it has anything to do with what I have been researching." Sonia answered to Victor. 

"Do you think there could be a connection with the Darkest Day you talked about before?" Victor asked.

"That is what I am trying to figure out but so far not enough clues." Sonia said.

"Well sense we are all here how about we get you all situated at your hotel rooms and then later tonight we can all go eat our for dinner, my treat." Leon said.

After evryone agreed they all went to the Big Nugget Hotel to check into their rooms afterwards they all got dressed for dinners, with the boys wearing a simple dress atire while the girls wore dresses. While waiting in the lobby for the girls to appear the boys were greeted by Leon and Sonia.

"Hey you three you ready for dinner?" Sonia asked.

"We are just waiting for Marnie and Gloria to finsih up." Victor answered.

"Why do girls take forever to get ready?" Hop asked before getting smacked by Sonia.

"Girls like to take there time getting ready, my advice Hop when you like a girl always be patient and then you will see." Sonia said as Hop was recovering from the head smack.

After their conversation had ended the girls reached the lobby looking really pretty and fancy. The boys were astonished by them epscially Victor who couldn't keep his eyes off of Marnie.

"Did we keep you all waiting?" Gloria asked them.

"No worries Gloria we are all ready to go." Hop said.

Everyone started to head towards the Big Nuggest Restraunt that was next door from the hotel. Once they got in they were seated to a table for seven people with Victor sitting next to Marnie and Gloria sitting next to Hop. Everyone ordered there food and enjoyed their conversations with the group. They talked about their various Pokemon stratagies as well as their jounrye that lead them their. After dinner was finished they all decided to take a stroll tthrough out the city. Everyone decided to split up for the night. Leon was heading back to his place to prepare for the upcoming tournament, Sonia headed back to her hotel room to study up on her research, Bede decided to head to his old place where Chairman Rose is to pay him a visit, Gloria and Hop decided to do some window shopping, and that leaves Vicotr and Marnie to stroll through the city. As they walked side by side they could not help but feel nervous around each other and at one moment their hands started to touch. Although they exchanged a few words it was obvious how much they like each other. 

"So Victor are you prepared for tomorrows battle?" Marnie asked him.

"To be honest I'm excited to battle against my friends and I know only one of us can battle Leon, but all of us have been through this jounrey together and there is no one else I rather battle." Victor asnswered her.

The to contued to walk through the city and enjoying the street lights from buildings and street lamps to help illuminate the streets. The two of them reall enjoyed there company together and started to hold hands with neithe rof them wanting to let go.

Towards the end of the night everyone had returned to their repective hotel rooms to preapre for the fianls of the Gym Challenge. It was at this monet where a dark portal opened from the sky and in it a Pokemon that brought darkness and looking up at that portal were the legendary sword and shield heroes.
