THE ROAD BACK

It's now a month later with my new body & today I'm going to begin walking on my own. The last month has been spent making neural connections with my new body, sight, speech, hearing, touch & simple controlled movements of my appendages. As I mentioned before I have been through a similar process before but this seemed very different. It was painless and much quicker. By my third day of walking, I felt like I could run a marathon, it was amazing. I started noticing other things such as being able to hear conversations down the hall and around corners, being able to read a nurse's clipboard 100 ft away with ease, all of my senses seemed heightened. Over the next few days, I sense a different feeling among the staff, some of them look at me and turn away with sad looks in their eyes. I hear one of my doctors two corridors away yell "They can't do this!".
