Chapter 2: Initiation and a Atlas Problem

Y/N Bray's POV

Usually, when I do sleep there's nothing but a blank void, but this time it was different I was walking around a forest full of I would assume cherry blossom trees. As I kept walking I heard a reoccurring voice coming from... somewhere... but I didn't know where it was coming from, I tried to listen to where what direction it was coming from but it sounded like it was coming from everywhere.

Y/N: "Hey Ghost can you triangulate where the voice is coming from?"

nothing from ghost came out.

Y/N: "Ghost? you there?" I tried calling her out but she wouldn't respond even when I flicked my hand out she wouldn't appear.

I started to get worried time after time trying to call her out but nothing. Till everything in the forest came to a standstill, the leaves stopped falling the voice I was hearing stopped calling out to me. I stood still where I was at till the voice came back but from behind. I looked behind and started walking in that direction till I came to a cave it was dark and I don't have ghost to use as a light source so I broke off a branch and made it into a form of a torch. As I got done making the torch I started to venture into the cave, I kept walking it honestly felt like I was walking an eternity till I saw a small light source coming from what I assumed the end of the cave I started to speed up and ran to the light source. As soon as got closer it felt... cold... really cold. The only thing I know that can be this freezing was... darkness... but how? I know when we took the fight to Eramis on Europa the stranger helped me, Emma, and Specter wield the darkness to fight off the House of Salvation and take the fight to Eramis, The Kell of Darkness.

Even after our fight, I decided to not use Stasis again it's temptation was annoying but not only that it's the darkness. How can I? A Guardian of the light wielding the darkness how could I go against the very thing I fight against? Stanger did tell us to fight darkness we must wield and not give in to its temptation. Even after our fight against Eramis and she confronted me and Ana about her being our missing sister... Elizabeth... we were both shocked Ana quickly left after knowing and Elsie giving the full-on truth, but as for me, I knew she was doing the right thing she always has.

As I reached the ending point of the cave the voice of temptation came back I knew what I had to do even if I didn't want to. As I went to go reach for the Splinter of Darkness I woke up to the sound of a gun going off in the dorm came quickly to my feet and looked around. I saw the rest of Team RWBY look around as well till we saw our culprit of who made the noise. It was Ruby.

Ruby: "uh... whoops heh." as she scratched the back of her head.

Y/N: "RUBY! WHY DO YOU HAVE ACE!?" I said with an angry tone.

Ruby: "SORRY! I just wanted to view some of your weapons before initiation today." She said quickly and sighed afterward.

Shortly after the girls groaned and Weiss went up to her hit her upside the head. I went over to her and grabbed the Ace from her hands, then I placed my hand on her head and ruffled her hair.

Y/N: "Listen, you can preview my weapons later okay... just don't do it again." as I still ruffled her hair.

Ruby: "Fine. But I'm holding you up to it." she said with a sly smirk on her face

As I put Ace over with the rest of my weaponry I went into the bathroom and took my armor in there, I noticed ghost silently repaired the gauntlet that was destroyed.

Ruby's POV

As Y/N went into the bathroom with his armor I decided to slowly go over to where he was sleeping and view the rocket launcher he had. Of course, I tried to pick it up but it was so heavy soon I was grabbed by the back of my shirt and pulled to the side by Yang.
