Chapter 5: New Threat, Same Enemy, Reunited

A/N: Hey guys this is gonna be one long chapter for this, as well as a small update for my books and the future. So at moment new Chapters for The Guardian of Remnant, and Remnants Forge will be on hiatus cause I am moving during early May, I'll do my best to update both books but I can't guarantee, it'll be a long wait till the next chapter. So this chapter will be the rest of Volume 2 from "Search and Destroy" to "Breach" episodes of RWBY. While for Remnants forge will also if not possibly be longer. With this remember I made sure to make it long for you guys and gals cause both stories will be on hiatus till I'm done moving till than Guardians stay safe and protect the light within you and the light of your friends. Y/N POV

I've been out for a awhile and so far nothing, no blights, no whitefang, or even Torchwick's men or bullheads anywhere to be seen in this wasteland. I've had Ghost keep track of any neutrino spikes, or whatever Asher called them, but so far nothing has come up. I was starting to grow a little agitated but this how these expeditions go but usually within the next few hours I'd find something that either relates to a base of operations or a camp setup somewhere. I will give credit where credit is due however the Whitefang and Torchwick are good at keeping secrets, however luck will only go so far.

Y/N: "Hey ghost anything on scans yet?"

Ghost: "No nothing yet, I've even been keeping an eye on all open channels by using the CCT tower in Vale and so far nothing."

Y/N: "Ugh... well onto another topic is that data finally decrypted from that Cabal ship we destroyed awhile back? Cause I'll take anything at this point and try to piece it together."

Ghost: "Well so far all that's been decrypted was something about an invasion and some coordinates that go outside of the Sol System. As for the coordinates I have no idea where it could lead."

Y/N: "Well if there's anything new we've learned especially after dealing with Caital's war council they just lost their home world to the hive god Xivu Arath. So I guess think of this as a way to retake their world. Like how we did but instead of a world the last city."

Ghost: "I guess that's an accurate assumption but still the universe is vast it could be talking about any world out there possibly even Remnant. But those chances are slim."

*Growl noises*

I look to the right of and I see a pack of beowolves looking at me and ghost as some tasty snack they can just munch. My Ghost disappears and I bring the hammer back on ace and prepare for a fight. I begin to think to myself 'This is gonna be a long day.', Then I charge head first into battle.

Ruby POV

It was nice to see Y/N again, but I was still upset when he didn't return to our dorm after what happened last night. I still couldn't get the thought out my mind the 'The intruder shot him... didn't she? Than Y/N should be dead... but he was standing there like nothing ever happened even his armor didn't have any form of bullet wounds on it'. I begin to grab the sides of my head I frustration trying to piece it together. I was brought out of my thought when Yang noticed me in this state. We were currently on a bullhead heading to southeast for our mission.

Yang: "Hey Ruby, you alright?"

Ruby: "No, just... it's about what happened last night."

Yang: "Oh is it about the intruder? Or was it about something else?" Before I can respond Weiss buds in

Weiss: "Well listen no sense on thinking about it now we have a mission to focus on, and besides I'm still feeling weird about what Ozpin told us before we went on this mission about Y/N."
