Chapter 4: Dance Dance Infiltration and Scout Mission

Y/N Bray POV

It's been a couple of days since the rumble with Torchwick and those teens trying to assassinate Tukson, not only that but also the run-in with the Taken. But what's still racing through my mind is the fact the Witch Queen, Savathun, is here and her forces as well I'm worried this world is about to face utter extinct as far we all know about what happened with both the Cabal and the Fallen they faced near extinction by the hands of Oryx and his Sisters. I need to see Ozpin as soon as possible, cause if I don't warn him of this upcoming threat then his huntsmen won't be ready to handle the Taken and Hive.

I was walking down the hallway leaving the Library after helping Yang convince Blake to go to the dance cause, in all honesty, she needs the rest we Guardians rest cause it brings us peace in our mind we technically don't need sleep but it helps calm our nerves. I decided to walk up to the roof and chat with ghost and see how the encryption is coming along with the data she stole from both Ironwood and that Cabal Cruiser before I came here. I pulled out my hand to summon her.

Y/N: "Hey, Ghost how's the encryption coming along for Ironwoods data and the Cabal data we stole?"

Ghost: "So far the Data I've uncovered from Ironwood is almost done it'll be done in a few hours, as for the Cabal data we stole well I'd give it another day or two."

Y/N: "*sigh* all right thank you, buddy."

Ghost: "Hey listen, I know I'm also worried about this world as well with Savathun making her self known to us it's only a matter of time till we face her army head on for this world or Quria's army depending on who was commanding that Kell and that small army."

Y/N: "All right I'll let you be, just hurry on the encrypting the data I'm gonna go to the hangar and fix the ship till the dance starts."

Ghost: "You don't have a date for tonight, I suggest you get one maybe Ruby hasn't been asked yet."

Y/N: "Well... maybe I don't know if I..." I was cut off by ghost

Ghost: "Don't you 'I don't know' me mister listen, you need to relax if this starts getting to you then you might start slipping up out in the field, next time we might not be so lucky, especially a couple a days ago."

Y/N: "Fine, by the way, Why Ruby?"

Ghost: "Come on, I've seen the way you guys hang out and as well I can detect when your heart raises. Let's see... Oh! like the first time you met her and she saved you, and as well as teasing her, lastly when you were thinking about Emma and Specter your heart jumped a bit when you guys were walking back to the dorm."

Y/N: "...." as I give my ghost a deadpanned look

Ghost: "Just saying, all right I'll get back to work. Oh, one last thing let me know when to give you your tux." as she dissipates away.

I start heading down to the hangar thinking about what ghost said to me 'She's not wrong I do think Ruby is cute, funny, and an amazing person overall. I just... I don't know I'll just wait till the dance to see if she wants to dance with me in the meantime I might as well just start fixing up the ship.'

Ruby POV

I was in the dorm with Yang getting everything ready for the dance, I hate dressing up nice and these dang heels seriously how does Weiss wear these? As I got done I went over to Yang I needed to ask her something.

Ruby: "Hey Yang, can I ask you something?"

Yang: "Sure sis what's up?

Ruby: "Do you know where Y/N is? I haven't seen him since he helped you talk to Blake about going to the dance."
