(y/n) POV:
"H-Hello?" I called out into the eerie hospital hallway. It had felt like I hadn't spoken in ages. I let out a small cough, my throat feeling like a desert.
I continued to hesitantly walk further down the long corridor, peaking into some hospital rooms. It was like everyone just disappeared. Wherever they went, they were in a rush.
As I made my way down the hallway, I came across a sign that said, "exit". Being uncertain, I took a deep breath and opened the door. It made a loud creaking sound as another wave of brightness came over my eyes.
I shielded my eyes with my arm as my eyes squinted.
Fresh air. Finally.
After letting my eyes adjust to the new setting, I glance around. I began to stumble a few feet. The scorching concrete had felt like I had been walking on fire. I continue to walk around the hospital, my curiosity taking over.
"Hello?" I said. I hoped someone would pop out. I just wanted to know what the hell was going on.
"Hello?!" I shouted loudly.
A sudden fluster of birds had frighted me, leaving me laying on the concrete. The squawking of birds had lessened as they flew away. It took me a few moments to gather myself before I headed into the woods. It hadn't seemed like anyone had been around the hospital in a while.

Hiking through the woods, various noises sounded out from the unknown. Paranoid, My head turned in every direction in which the noises were coming from. Snapping of branches, footsteps in the distance, groaning.

My fears had taken over as I began to run, my bare feet had been soaking into the soil with every step I took. Looking back to see if anything or anyone had been chasing me, I felt a sudden drop as my feet had lost the feeling of anything. Tumbling down the steep hill, I grunted. My body had rolled over sticks, rocks and everything painful. It all stopped once I felt my head slam against a tree. Everything went black.
The white hospital gown had now been spattered with my own blood. It had been colored green, brown and red.

I had awoken to the sound of rustling leaves and staggered foot steps. My vision had been doubled, and blurry. I tried to gain my sense of vision back but the deep gash in my head caused it. The doubled image of what seemed to be a person walking towards me, began to give me hope.
Someone is here to help! Finally!
"Help!" I shrieked out, attempting to flail my arms, feeling weak and in pain. A loud noise soon sounded. It sounded like a gunshot. I quickly covered my ears with my palms and shut my eyes tightly. A loud thud and a slight rumble in the ground happened in front of me. The man had been dead. I knew it. Someone killed him.

I slowly opened my eyes. My assumption had been correct. The "man" laid face down in the dirt, still. Tears began to flood my eyes as I could not take my eyes off of the body.

More footsteps. I tensed up and curled up into a ball. Am I next? Is this where I die?

Overwhelmed with fear of the unknown, everything goes black again.
