Not All That It Seems

Sarah's POV:
Oh my god... y/n just kissed me. Could this have been a mistake? Did she only do that because she feels bad that I keep helping her? Or is she just lonely?

I'm not going to lie... Her soft lips upon mine did feel genuine.

My eyes gradually opened to see y/n sitting there, her face as red as a cherry as she refused to make eye contact.

Lost for words, I caressed my hand gently back on to y/n's cheek and lifted her face up to mirror mine. Without hesitation, my lips soon met up with y/n's again, this time with more passion.

Y/n's POV:
Holy shit.. this can't be happening right now... I am utterly shocked that she didn't slap me or better yet... kick me out of the house.

Sarah's tongue entered my mouth as she kissed me with passion. I reached my arms out to pull Sarah closer to my body as she followed the pull I was giving.

I soon pull away, needing to catch my breath but I craved Sarah's love and affection.

There it was again, the look on her face that was just so loving and caring.

I couldn't help but blush again as Sarah smiled at me. She was like fine wine.

"I'll take good care of you, y/n. I'm all yours." Sarah's voice said soothingly as she laid next to me and pulled me into her arms. Her embrace was warm and comforting and gave me the feeling of being loved. A soft kiss was placed upon my forehead as Sarah held me tight, but not too tight.

"I want to learn more about you, y/n. What were you like in high school?" She questioned.

"Well... I have only ever had one true friend. Mandy... We would hang out every day and go on drives together...blasting music and screaming at the top of our lungs. We had some great times together..." My voice trailed off as I soon got quiet. "I hope she's still alive." My voice began to get shaky and my heart began to pound in my chest as I only imagined the worse. "She's probably dead.." Tears began to fill my eyes as I couldn't help but cry out quietly.

"Hey Hey.. You don't know that. She could still be alive." Sarah's grip around me tightened as she held me closer to her chest. I buried my face into the brown oversized sweater that she had been wearing and took a deep breath. Her sweet smelling sweater had made me calm down a bit.

My head bobbed up and down, nodding. "Y-You're right, Sarah."

Her eyes crinkled up again before she placed the pads of her thumbs under my eyes and gently wiped the tears from my face.

I snuggled back into Sarah's chest as she put her hand on my back and lightly ran her nails up and down.

After about an hour of embracing one another, Sarah sat up slowly. "Are you hungry, sweetheart?" the calm voice asked.

My eyes gazed up to Sarah as I nodded. "Yes."

"Well then... let's get some food in you!" Sarah said vibrantly as a bright smile appeared again on her face.

"You stay here. I will be right back." She said.

"Please be quick." I pleaded, liking Sarah's company.

Sarah nodded as she climbed out of the bed carefully. "I will. I promise." She winked at me before leaving the room.

The feeling of emptiness overcame my body again as I felt attached to her. I didn't want her to ever leave my side. When she was gone it was like a part of me was missing. I hated that feeling.

As promised, Sarah reappeared in the doorway holding two plates full of food. She handed me a plate as my eyes trailed it as it arrived in my hands.

I looked down at the plate to see a fresh chopped salad, veggies and canned meat. I could feel my mouth start to water as my stomach growled. The food on the plate looked delicious.

"Thank you." I said gratefully to Sarah.

"My pleasure, love." Sarah sat down next to me as we both ate. I devoured the food on my plate pretty quickly, not realizing how hungry I had been.
