Sarah's POV:
It had been a week since y/n fell into her deep sleep. I had been monitoring her since and part of me wanted to wake her up but I knew it was best to let y/n rest. I had set up another IV on y/n since who knew when she would wake up. I hope it's soon because I'm getting pretty lonely by myself.

My feet softly entered y/n's room as I didn't want to wake her. My eyes glazed over to her still body which laid peacefully in the bed. I couldn't help but let out a small smile as she looked so peaceful.

I made my way towards her quietly and sat down on the bed by her side. My fingers slid on the inner part of her wrist as I felt a strong heart beat. I'm glad that her heart appeared to be getting stronger because a week ago it was faint and almost non-existent. I then checked the IV in her hand to make sure it was still securely in and working as she needed this desperately. I changed out the old IV bag with a new one and looked down at the tranquil young girl. Then, I left a soft kiss on her forehead.

Y/n had been with me for just a short time but I had felt connected to her. I needed her in my life and she needed me. It was a match made in heaven.

A quiet groan was released from y/n's lips as my attention went straight back to her. I sat down on the bed again next to her again and looked down as her eyes began to twitch. I gently stroked a few hairs that were on y/n's face and tucked them behind her ear gently. "Good morning, y/n"

y/n's POV:

"Good morning, y/n" A familiar voice said softly in a raspy voice, almost as if she had just woken up.

My eyes flustered open to see the figure of a small woman hovering over me. "Good morning..." I replied, my throat feeling dry like a desert. "How are you feeling?" The words softly left Sarah's mouth. "Weak... But better." I replied, a smile appearing on Sarah's face. I then moved a bit, attempting to sit up but my body rejecting the urge to.

"Hey Hey.. take it easy, let me help you." Sarah said as she put her hands carefully under my arm's, sitting me up a bit and adjusting the pillows behind my back to make me comfortable.

"How long was I asleep for?" I asked, being curious.

"About a week..." Sarah replied

My eyes snapped open wider as I looked at Sarah. "Wow... that long?" I looked down at my body and noticed the IV in my arm. "Thank you for taking care of me" My lips curved upward as my eyes locked with Sarah's.

Sarah's cheeks dimpled and the corner of her eyes wrinkled. "Again, you don't have to thank me. It's what anyone would do." She replied.

I loved Sarah's desire to help me. And I truly admired that about her. Sarah had made me feel different than I do with just any normal person. I had a connection with her, a strong connection.

Sarah's silky fingers interlocked with mine as our hands rest on the bed. She gave me hope. A feeling that seemed almost non-existent in this awful world.

This woman was everything I've always wanted.

"S-Sarah?"

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"I-I..." It had felt like the words had been stolen right out of my mouth as my mind went foggy. How do I word this right? I don't know how to put this...

The feeling of Sarah's gentle touch appeared on my cheek again. Her beautiful golden brown eyes locked with mine, like a magnet.

With the strength I had remaining in my body, I leaned forward and placed a soft kiss upon Sarah's lips.

I had then quickly receded back into my previous position on the bed as my face grew a bright red.

Shit Shit Shit! I'm such an idiot! What was I thinking?! Maybe she didn't feel the same way I did. Maybe I'm too high from the pain meds to have a clear mind... She didn't pull away right away though...

My eyes gazed downwards as I couldn't help but resist making eye contact with her. What was she thinking? Did I just screw everything up?

I could feel my face burning up from embarrassment.
