Hi, just a quick message before I continue with this chapter.
I want to apologize for all the absences and delays for my book. It's been rough lately with my health and just general mental state, really. I've been trying my best to get back on top of it and should be able to get through it quickly enough. If not, then I am sadly going to have to slow down updates like these past few weeks. The newest updates might also be changed to only Friday's because of this and also because of hard work and being exhausted most of my days.
All in all, I hope you guys understand and also hope you enjoy this new chapter, even though it was not published on time.

"Hey, mom, can I come in?" Lion whispered and pulled his hand away from the door, "I heard from Shawn that you've been feeling sick again." Lion sighed and slowly opened the door to his mother's bedroom.
Charlotte sat motionless on the edge of her bed with tears running down her pale cheeks. She couldn't move as she watched the news on the television. That's when Lion noticed Jack's face. Lion swallowed hard and rushed to his mother's side, pulling her into a tight hug.
"It hurts so much!" Charlotte yelled against Lion's chest and her hands, fisting Lion's oversized shirt, "it hurts so fucking much!"
Lion didn't know what to say then to rub his mother's back and reassure her. Lion's pain was already gone, so he didn't know what to do for Charlotte. Lion held his mother close and listened to her cries.
"Why did he leave!? Why!?"
Lion felt obliged to answer his mother, but the lump that formed in his throat would only let him croak before tears trailed down his cheeks. Charlotte buried her face on her son's shoulder and didn't let him go. And Lion understood why.
Lion could feel Charlotte's body vibrate against his, "mom, you need to calm down." He whispered into Charlotte's ear, and thankfully, she took some deep breaths and began to relax, "he told me it was because he was scared." Lion answered.
Charlotte scoffed as she pulled away and wiped her tears, "men always say that to get away from the truth." She stood from her bed and shut off her tv, "I love you and all, but what are you doing here?" She asked and sweetly smiled as she passed a wet rag over her swollen eyes.
"I came to check up on you cause Shawn told me you weren't feeling good." Lion answered and stood up, "it's also Elijah and I's first night back at the apartment, and we wanted to know if you'd like to come to have supper with us." Lion fiddled with his shirt, rolling the hem.
Charlotte giggled and sniffled as she walked towards Lion and gave him another big hug.
"I'd be glad to come over and have supper with you boys. But between you and me, we don't talk about Jack." Lion nodded and gave his mother a light peck to the head.

Lion laid sprawled out on the couch as he waited for his mom to arrive and Elijah to get out of the shower. His hands were over his stomach with his legs crossed. Lion was bored, of course.
The boy huffed and rolled over as he tried to get comfortable, but he was lonely. And so, Lion got up from the sofa and padded his way into the bathroom where Elijah stood under the warm water that steamed the mirrors. Lion felt oddly mischievous as he walked towards the shower and undressed. Silent as a mouse as he entered the shower and wrapped his arms around Elijah's waist.
Elijah was tense as he looked down at his waist and watched Lion's hands creep closer to his crotch. Nonetheless, Elijah stayed still and continued to let the water run down his body.Lion didn't say a word and continued to move his hand lower, gently stroking Elijah's hardening member.
