Elijah rolled over in the sheets, the sun seeping through the light curtains, blinding his closed eyes as he groaned and shoved his face into his pillow, hearing faint water coming from the bathroom, "you're going to get up soon, right?" Lion spoke while brushing his teeth, leaning down, and spitting out the used toothpaste. The man groaned once more and only nudged his face further into his pillow, huffing in protest at Lion's giddy voice, "come on, Elijah, don't make me throw cold water on you." Lion leisurely padded towards Elijah, a glass of freezing water in his hand, slowly turning it sideways.
"Lion, if you dare do that, you will face a month of chores and consequences," Elijah grumbled, turning himself to face the boy, a grin on his face.
Lion held an unbothered expression, still slowly leaning the water over the sleepy man, "get up." He refused to fall for Elijah's games, a drop of water falling onto Elijah's chest. The boy fully turned the glass, the water splashing onto Elijah.
Elijah howled, tearing the blankets off of himself and running after Lion, caging him in the bathroom, his arms spread apart to capture him, "you dare disobey me?" He growled playfully, walking towards Lion.
The boy burst out laughing, tears of joy stinging at his eyes as he watched the man approach him. Fun overcame him as he filled another glass of water and threw the liquid at Elijah, laughter booming out of him when Elijah's face turned to surprise.
"Can't make me obey!" He spoke, trying his best to catch his breath. His stomach cramped as he folded in half and continued bawling out.
Elijah held a mischievous smirk, approaching Lion, reaching a hand for the opened water current and scooping some into his hand, splashing the boy's face, leaving him with a surprised expression as well. Lion didn't expect Elijah to fight back; feeling the droplets trickle down his face, he filled another glass, this time throwing it at Elijah's face. The man gasped before he repeated his previous actions and threw another handful at Lion, soaking him.
The man hadn't had this much excitement in a long time. That filled his childhood memories, "okay, okay, let me catch my breath." Lion mumbled, sitting down on the cold tiled floor, his pajamas soaked from head to toe.
Elijah chuckled deeply, his breathing ragged as he sat down in front of the boy, handing him a towel to dry off, "not used to moving that much, are you?" He teased, a soft smile on his plump lips. Lion fixated on Elijah's face, slowly leaning forward, observing every detail in the man's pale icy orbs, a flustered pink rising on Lion's face, "Lion?" The boy snapped out of his daze as quickly as he got in it, swiftly moving the towel over his skin. Embarrassment filled the boy, his face red as a rose. He wanted to hide behind his towel and never come back out, internally screaming at himself for having gawked at Elijah. Lion sprinted to his feet and walked out of the bathroom, leaving Elijah in a confused daze. He quickly changed clothes, his mind pacing between Elijah and himself, boggling with thoughts.
Lion covered his face with his hands as heat coursed through him like fire, "I'm such an idiot. Why did I do that?" He mumbled to himself, stretching his face down and slapping his reddened cheeks.
"Are you okay?" The boy froze, his eyes snapping at Elijah, "Lion, it's okay to admire a person, you know?" Elijah reassured the boy, moving closer to him with a soft smile on his face, "don't feel upset with yourself for what just happened; it happens to everyone." Elijah chuckled deeply, patting Lion's back before turning away and getting dressed, "what do you want to do today?"
