The Best Man Pt. 1 (Jinkook)

I'm sitting on this airplane waiting to take off and I'm freaking out, I hate flying, if anyone even breathes wrong I know we'll crash. I feel someone sit next to me and I freak out even more, my knuckles white from gripping the arm rests. The flight attendant comes over the loud speaker telling us to take our seats and buckle up, that we are taxiing. I am flying to Hawaii for my sisters wedding, I tried talking her into getting married in my big beautiful backyard, but she wanted a beach wedding with a luau, the roast pig and all.

I feel the plane picking up speed and my breath quickens, my grip on the arms of my seat tightens, "are you okay", the guy next to me says. "Shhhh don't talk, you'll depressurize the plane and we'll fly into a mountain", I say with my eyes shut tight. I hear him chuckle, "we are in the air already." "No talking, it shakes the plane", I whine. He laughs again, "I'm Yoongi, would you like a drink, maybe it will help you relax a little", he says calling the attendant over. I thanked him and started to calm a bit, I pulled my laptop out to do some work, "thank you for the drink, it really helped", I say smiling. "I'm Seokjin", I say.

We shake hands, "vacation in Hawaii", he asks. "My sister is getting married, You", I ask. "Work, but I can't complain, it's Hawaii", he smiles. We chat a bit during the flight, but I had work to finish so I typed away for most of the flight, until I actually fell asleep. Yoongi nudged me, telling me to put my laptop away since we were landing soon. I yawned and stretched, putting my laptop in my bag and sliding it under my seat, I watched out the window as the clouds pass by, knowing that I hate landing more than taking off, and I'm dreading it. The seat belt sign dings and we are preparing for landing, "Oh god, I hate this part", I say.

Yoongi takes my hand, "squeeze if you need to, okay", he says looking at me. "Thank you Yoongi", I say smiling. He kept talking to me, about nothing in particular. "You okay", he asks. I nod. "Good, because we landed." "We did", I say opening my eyes and looking around and I see that we are taxiing to the terminal. "Oh my god Yoongi, thank you so much", I say laughing. When we get to the baggage claim, Yoongi and I exchange numbers, and agree to try to meet up one night for dinner. I saw get my bags and see my dad waiting for me outside in the car.

We arrive at the house that they rented while we are here, and I greet my mom", Oh Seokjin you are here finally", she says hugging me. "Sorry Eomma, I had a meeting that I had to attend before I could come, which room is mine", I ask. "Come Ill show you", she says taking my hand. "I told your sister that you arrived, she is on her way to get you", My Eomma says. "What are they doing today", I ask. "I'm not sure", she said. My room is really nice, its big and has a beautiful view of the beach, and the balcony is very secluded.

My sister showed up about 30 minutes later telling me to grab clothes and my swim trunks, and when I met her downstairs she threw herself into my arms, "I've missed you so much little brother", she says sobbing. I hold her to me and tell her that I have missed her too, we are very close and haven't seen each other in about  month, she has been in the US with her fiancé. "Come, I have missed you so much, there are people we want you to meet", she says jumping on my back, I laugh, we say good bye to our parents and head out to the car.
We arrive at the beach where her friends and her Fiancé and his friends are, I know Jae through work, that's how he met Mai, she came to my office one day and the rest was history. Him and I never really hung out, but we would talk occasionally by the water cooler.  

"JIN", he yells and everybody looks over at us. He pulls me into a bear hug, "I am so glad you are finally here, Mai has been so excited about you coming", he laughs. "Come, I want you to meet my friends", he takes my hand and leads me to the group sitting in the sand. "Guys, this is Mai's baby brother Seokjin, Jin this is Jimin, Taehyung and my best man Jungkook", he says pointing to each one. I look at Jungkook and the way he is looking at me makes my heart race, why is he looking at me like that. "You can change into your trunks at the the cabana over there", Jae says. "Ill take him, I have to change too", Jimin says.

I step out the door of the cabana and as my eyes search my surroundings I see Jungkook off in the distance staring at me, again my heart beat quickens. Then I see one of Mai's friends jump on his back, he laughs and runs toward the water, my heart drops. Someone like that is born with a girlfriend, I should have known better then to get my hopes up, but the way he looked at me I thought for sure there was a spark there. I walked over to the bar on the beach and ordered one of those fancy drinks in a pineapple, the bartender leans in front of me. "Someone so beautiful shouldn't look so sad", he said popping a cherry into his mouth. "I'm not sad, just enjoying my pineapple drink", I laugh, "its a bit much, dont you think." He laughs, "yea they kind of make us use the pineapples, I can get you a regular glass", he says smiling. "How about a beer instead", I say pushing the pineapple toward him. He laughs and pops the cap on a Bud light, "here ya go, I have other customers, hopefully you will be here when I get back", he winks.

Mai comes over and sits down, "why are you here all by yourself, flirting with the bartender", she teases. "He's cute", I say. "He is very cute, come back by us", she says pulling my hand, I turn to look at the bartender, he waves and I smile. Mai ran over to her friends and I walked out to the shoreline, letting the water hit my feet while I stood looking out over the ocean. "Pretty here isn't it", I turn to see Taehyung. "Very, its really relaxing actually", I say taking a drink of my beer. "Tae", we turn to see Jungkook walking over to us, "Sarah wants you", he says. "Ugh she such a pain in the ass sometimes", he walks away. "Lets walk", Jungkook says. He grabs my beer and takes a drink, then handing it back to me. "So your the infamous Seokjin, Mai never stops talking about you", he says looking down at the sand. "She has always been like that, we are really close", I say taking another drink, then offering it to Jungkook. He takes it, "I have been working up the courage to talk to you since I found out you were coming, and I almost chickened out", he says taking another drink, "but then I saw the way the bartender looked at you and my jealousy took over and I finally found the courage." "Jealousy", I question him.

Jungkook asked me to meet him tonight, that he wanted to talk to me, I told him that I was tired but that if he didn't mind coming to my room, I have a very secluded balcony that we can talk on, and that I could order us dinner. He agreed and we went our separate ways, when I got back to the house I showered and ordered us food, I told the maids that I was expecting company and to show him my room, I laid the food out on the table with a couple beers and waited. Moments later there was a knock at the door, "Come in", I yell. Jungkook walks in and looks around, "nice room", he says. "I know right, come on the foods out here", I lead him to the balcony and we sit, I pick up a beer, "so what did you want to talk about", I hand him a bowl of pineapple rice. "I have never said this to another human being before, so bear with me...
