The rest of the group reaches the hospital where they meet Jin who paces from side to side in the waiting area. "The doctors have not come out yet!" He informs his brothers as Yoongi comes running down the hallway. "How is he doing?" The rapper inquires out of breath. "No news!" Hoseok let him know. A few minutes later, the door opens and Dr. Choi walks in. "How is he?" Jin asks immediately, walking up to the doctor. "For now, he is stable. However, his condition got worse since I have met up with him a few days ago." "I don't understand. He told us his disease was regressing. That he was doing fine." Namjoon explains to Dr. Choi. "I think Taehyung lied to you." "He lied to us??? What does that mean?" Jungkook is almost shouting, his fists clench tightly against his sides. Looking at him, Jimin pulls him into a hug. "The tests we made last week, showed that his illness was progressing rapidly." "But you can help him?" Hoseok's hands starts to shake. "No! The only possibility for him to get better is to find a donor." "And if we cannot find one." Yoongi's voice is full of anger. Dr. Choi looks down at his feet, not even needing to utter the awful words. "How long?" Jin inquires, his voice cracking. "How long???" His voice is menacing when he does not get an answer right away. "Two weeks? Maybe less, maybe more." Jungkook's scream and Jimin's sobs that follow the announcement are heartbreaking. "You can see him now. Just be prepared that he might not wake up again." Namjoon and Jin hurry after the doctor to see their dongsaeng as Yoongi and Hobi stay back to console the two younger members.
Jin is thankful to Joon, who holds him up when they enter the room and look at their friend lying in this small bed, beeping machines attached to several parts of his body. "I am not sure if it is a good idea to let Jiminie and Kookie see him like this." Jin advises the leader, small tears running over his cheeks as he walks towards the bed to hold Tae's hand. "I will go and talk to the others." Namjoon's hand is on his hyung's shoulder for support which the latter squeezes to thank his friend. Then Joon walks back outside. "Why did you not tell me Taetae?" Jin's thumb brushes over Tae's knuckles as his gaze rests on his dongsaeng's peaceful face.
Hoseok and Yoongi are bringing the younger members home, allowing Jin and Joon to remain with Tae for now. They have agreed to take turns to stay with their sick brother. For now, they convinced the younger ones to not visit by themselves but with one of their hyung, seeing how much this all affects them.
After Jimin stops by Tae with Yoongi, he takes it upon himself to pack a suitcase with clothes for him. He doesn't like seeing his friend lying in this plain white hospital garment. After the doctor ascertained that they will get Taehyung off of most of the machines, Jimin asked if he could at least dress his best friend in his favorite pijamas. Dr. Choi smiled at his affectionate request to tell him.and go ahead. "I think he would love that." The doctor told him this morning. Jimin is rummaging through Tae's nightwear when his phone starts to bing on the nightstand.
