Charlie is taken aback by the doctor's news, stumbling backward until she hits the wall. She watches Jungkook jumping up in joy and Jin walking with the biggest smile to the man lying in bed.
'How is that possible?' she thinks closing her eyes as her breathing comes in short.
"Are you okay Mrs. Kwon?" Dr. Choi asks next to her as Jimin runs towards her.
"Charlie?" Jimin's high-pitched tone brings her back to her senses to look at the scene before her. Taehyung's friends except for Jimin are all smiling, gathering around his bed. The youngest is even crying, Charlie reckons that they are tears of joy and not sorrow.
"You are Taehyung's savior." Jimin holds her shoulders, the happiness spreading over his face.

"Mrs. Kwon, if you are ready I would like to go through the procedure with you?" The doctor instructs her as Jimin leaves her to give them some space.
"Uhm, yes, of course." Charlie starts to follow Dr. Choi out of the room when she is called back by one of the men.
One by one they walk towards her to thank her for helping their friend. Charlie feels overwhelmed by the whole situation and when the youngest hugs her sobbing, thanking her over and over again, she tries hard to not start to cry as well.
"I will be back later, " she let the group know with tears in her eyes before following the doctor in charge.

When she sits in the white room waiting for Dr. Choi, a thousand reflections run through her mind. Was this all fate? Was she meant to find him to help him? Has her dead husband been bringing them together? She looks up at the ceiling, recalling her latest dreams about her beloved husband and Taehyung.
"Mrs. Kwon? How are you feeling?" The doctor immediately asks her when he enters his office.
"Good, Dr. Choi. Maybe a little bit overwhelmed by the whole situation." She confesses as she looks at the file that the man has placed on the desk before her.
It is filled with details about her and Taehyung as well as graphic charts and medical results tables.
"I'll tell you about the process now. You are still willing to do it?"
"Yes, I guess but can I make up my mind after hearing about the procedure?"
"Of course yet I can tell you, you do not have anything to worry about. It is a simple method with barely any complications."
Dr. Choi explained to her the process in detail. She was happy to hear that she would not have to get full anesthesia but only a local one, and the fact that she did not need to stay in the hospital influenced her decision to agree to perform the procedure the next day.

When she is done with her visit and her check-up at the doctor's office, she strolls back to Taehyung's room. Earlier she did not have the opportunity to see him up close. She is now hoping that his friends might have left, giving her the chance to be alone with him. As she opens the door to his room, she feels a little disappointed to see his brothers, as they call themselves, sitting around the room.
"Welcome back, " Namjoon calls out to her when he spots her entering.
"Hey again!" She waves at the bunch of men before asking, "how is he?"
Jimin stands up from his chair to walk towards her, taking her hand to lead her to his bed. Right away, she takes his hand, the machine beeping frantically like the times before.
"Even in his sleep, he cannot hide his feelings for you." Yoongi points out, making Charlie blush.
"I might need to scold him for his flirting behavior when he wakes up," Jin adds, patting her back.
Charlie smiles at Tae, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead, making his friends smile at their little exchange.
"I am starving. Let's go and grab a bite. Shall we?" Namjoon suggests, winking at Charlie.
"I am not hungry!" Jungkook declares but Yoongi walks up to him to grab him by the arm to pull him with them, saying "You are now Jungkook-ah."
