Sweet Night

During their walk to Charlie's room, the doctor informs Taehyung about what had happened during the procedure. Though, why she still has not woken up, is still a mystery to them.
Jimin opens the door to the room, he has visited the last few days. Taehyung stays still, the doctor and Namjoon enter with his friend. Jimin immediately walks over to Charlie who lies on the bed as if she is sleeping.
Tae cannot tear his eyes off of her, especially her beautiful face that he remembers so well.
"Hello Charlie," Jimin greets her when he stands next to the bed. "We have someone special with us who wants to see you today!"
Jimin looks over at Tae who is still standing outside not able to set a foot inside the room. Tears come to his eyes as he realizes that he is the reason that the woman he fell in love with is now lying unconscious in this bed in a hospital.
Overwhelmed by it all, he turns on his heels and runs back to his room to hide under the covers of his bed, crying at the guilt and ache that fills his heart.

Namjoon comes in shortly after but Taehyung refuses to talk to his hyung, too lost in his own emotions and thoughts to even acknowledge him. When Jimin joins them, the leader lets the latter know that it would be best to leave Tae alone for now.
"We will be back tomorrow Tae. I hope you will feel better by then." Joon notifies him as both of his friends walk out the door.
Taehyung just lies in bed and closes his eyes to remember how he had met Charlie and fell in love with her over time. Now, she had saved his life only to find herself in this horrible position. Slowly, he drifts off to sleep too exhausted by all the feelings.

In his dream, he sees Charlie before him, leaning closer to capture his lips in a gentle kiss.
"Don't feel guilty, my Love. I would do it all over again. Seeing you sick, broke my heart so I regret nothing." Taehyung could not stop looking into her eyes. "Be there for us, for me and my girls, with all the love I know you have in you and one day, I will be in your arms."

Taehyung jumps up in his bed and hurries outside, running down the hallway until he stands before Charlie's room. With shaky fingers, he opens the door, his eyes taking in her sleeping figure. When he hears the nurse coming his way, he rushes inside and closes the door without a sound. There is no way that they will bring him back to his room. This is where he belongs, here with her.
As he discerns that the nurse is gone, he looks over at Charlie's lifeless body. Slowly, he walks towards her, his eyes fixed on her beautiful face.
"Why?" He mumbles when he is only a few steps away from her.
"Why did it have to be you?" He takes her hand, while tears flood his eyes. He crashes down on his knees next to her bed, letting his emotions of sorrow take over his body.
"You should have refused the procedure!" He says between sobs, then he can feel her hand squeezing him lightly.
In surprise, he jumps up to look at her face but her eyes are still close, her breathing even as before.
"Charlie, I hope you can hear me. Please come back to me. There is so much I want to tell you, so much I want to thank you for."

As he gets no response, Taehyung rounds her bed to get a better look at the picture that is on the table next to her.
"You have such pretty girls. They look a lot like you." He comments as his fingers caress over the photo in his hands.
After he puts it back, he comes closer to her, brushing a strand of hair from her forehead. As he leans closer to kiss her head, he whispers to her.
"You saved my life and I will take care of yours with all the love I have for you."
As his lips touch her forehead, goosebumps appear on her arms and a light blush is visible on her cheeks even with only the dim light above the bed on.
"You like that, Baby?" The nickname leaves his mouth before he thinks about it. "I am sorry!" He apologizes but he thinks he sees a small smile on her lips.
