kenma arrived at his dorm, once he closed the door, he saw akaashi sitting on the couch, on his phone with a smile plastered on his face.

akaashi looked up at kenma who was on the verge of tears.

"w-why are you about cry ?" akaashi said worriedly as he stood up and went over to kenma quickly and pulled him into his embrace

"i-i don't know.." kenma sniffled

akaashi pulled away and grabbed kenmas wrist and pulled him into the couch and sat beside him

"what happened ?" akaashi asked the weeping male beside him

kenma wiped his tears and put his hands on his lap

"he told me.. that he was forced to m-make me h-hate him.. b-but"

"but what ?" akaashi asked, and kenma took a deep breath

".. the other things weren't forced you know.. he wasn't forced to make my life a living hell.. he wasn't forced to push me on the ground harshly and hit me and say mean things that made me leave you know" kenma said softly

"but still, i-i can't risk getting hurt again, besides he could be lying" kenma said, akaashi was silent, just listening.

"which is why i'm gonna block him again, because i know if i don't, i'll end up forgiving him" kenma said and akaashi sighed

"can i give you my opinion ?" akaashi asked and kenma nodded reluctantly

"i believe him, well when i was hanging out with bokuto yesterday. he actually told me all about it" akaashi said and kenma raised an eyebrow

"he told you what ?" kenma asked

"well he told me that kuroo is forced to date that mika girl and basically how he was forced to make you hate him, bokuto can't really keep secrets so he kinda let it slip out" akaashi said and kenma nodded

"ah makes sense.. i'm guessing kuroo told bokuto
but i'm sorry. he broke me, he lied and i can't let that happen again" kenma stood up and went back to his room

he closed the door, his heart ached.

he missed kuroo, he still loved him. everything could change.

he could be with kuroo, if he had told him he believed him.

but kenma couldn't lie. he didn't believe kuroo, his brain told him not to believe him but.. his heart told him something different.

what was he gonna listen to ? his brain or his heart.

and of course the most reasonable choice was his brain, since his brain was choosing the smart choice and his heart was choosing the selfish choice.

the choice kenma deep down wanted, so he could have his happy ending.

but kenma couldn't, even though he just wanted to be in kuroos embrace.
